WireOne

We had Shawn come to our home to install a ceiling fan in our living room with a raised ceiling. He was very kind, courteous, honest, and very professional. He knew what he was doing and made me feel assured of the quality of his work. One catch though is that WireOne has an initial dispatch fee and then works off of a standard pricing sheet so my particular install got quite expensive. The pricing sheet covers almost any imaginable service/job and scenario that they could do but definitely seems to favor them (probably factoring in most time expected to complete the work, worst case in supply cost, etc.); but as a customer you know upfront exactly what the cost will be and can choose whether to do it or not. They offer great quality work and you know they're doing everything right, but you may end up paying for it depending on the service/job that you're looking for.

There was a snafu with the office, as they called to schedule an appointment when one had already been made and then they got the address wrong. The good thing was the electrician who arrived (after calling me and getting the correct address), Shawn, was top notch - professional, thorough and extremely competent. I would definitely hire Shawn again.

Somewhat more expensive than other electrical contractors that I've used before, but their work was done fast.

Very communicative! Not only did they call me back, they got in touch to let me know about anything that impacted my appointment. I also really liked how everything they do is on a menu with set prices. It was also great to have the work done the same day as the quote, since the work I needed done could be completed in an afternoon. The electrician also presented estimates for options and work that may need to be done in the future. WireOne will be my first thought next time I need electrical work.

Preston and John were both excellent, very professional, and kept us informed at all stages of the work. Joani and I were so pleased with the work they did on running the wiring. installing the 8 recessed lighting fixtures, installing the 3 ceiling fans and installing outdoor electrical outlets that we ran out and got 2 more ceiling fans for them to wire in and install. We would recommend them without reservation!

Great service and Sean was fantastic

I had no issue with the quality of the work done or the friendliness of the technician. However, the company charges a set fee rather than an hourly rate and their set fee for this work seemed exorbitantly high. In addition, the technician discovered that it was a very simple problem -- equivalent to tripping a circuit breaker -- and still charged the set fee for 'evaluating the circuit.' There are contractors out there who would have forgiven my stupidity (in fairness to myself, it was a dishwasher repairman who told me there was no power in the circuit, and I tried the breaker a couple of times but apparently should have given it a minute to come back on, which I didn't know) and not charged me the full, and I repeat, exorbitant charge. I am not too thrilled with my experience with HomeAdvisor, will stick to using neighbors for recommendations in the future.
