Write a ReviewDid good work fixing my drywall
great work
Bob drove down to check on my ceiling and give me an estimate. The work was done very quickly and the work quality was great!
Excellent customer service. Job was well done.
I highly recommend The Patch Boys! I just needed some patchwork done where the previous homeowners had hung pictures and some larger objects on the wall. It was a small job, but Bob was willing to send someone out to do it. Patch Boys did everything I needed for a low cost, and the worker that came out was very helpful, friendly, and efficient. I will use them again.
On time, guy worked hard, no real issues
An immediate response was very appreciated. Bob's and Juan's suggestions were welcomed. The work was well done. Clean up was done well and communications on all side went very well. My wife was pleased.
Great communication, was very prompt and did exactly what I expected.
Bob and his crew were very professional and did an excellent job. My house required repairs in several areas. i wish that they accepted my payment options besides cash only.
We except check or cash but we are not set up to take cards yet. Thank you so much for your feedback.
Several problems with Bob of the Patch Boys 1) I tried to reschedule the job with 3 full days advanced notice, Bob bitterly complained. I kept the schedule but lost two nights sleep. One night I slept two hours to keep Bob happy. LAST I checked I WAS THE ONE THAT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE HAPPY ! The world is upside down. 2) Bob told me that he charges by full day and half day work. He told me that if the job is longer than expected, I dont pay extra. He also said if is was shorter, he was knock the price down according to how long the job actually took. He quoted me for slightly less than 2 days (this is documented); and jobs was down in about 1.3 days. When I confronted him on this, he said he sent two guys and he's normally send one guy. This is nonsense and in conflict with what he told me at the start. Bob LIED about his promise to knock the price down if the job was shorter. Bob never quoted the number of people he would use for the job, in fact he never mentioned that at all. 3) The final task was to paint the ceiling. He never told me to buy the paint. How does he know what paint I would buy. Maybe I know nothing about painting at all! As far as he is concerned, I could have bought gloss paint for the ceiling. FYI/ Almost all ceilings use flat white paint. He didn't credit me for the paint, which cost more than $120. Like I said, he never told me to buy the buy or what to buy. He never said in the quote I was responsible for the paint. 4) I had some difficulty getting Bob to write up an itemized receipt. He said he doesnt normally do that because then he would not have to charge me sales tax. It took some effort, but I made Bob make itemized receipt. But he didn't charge me sales tax on it. And he did not include the cost of paint. On the good side, the crew did a very good job and they were professional. Bob was NOT FULLY honest in his communications to me. For Pete's sake get a quote for any job with Bob, to include supplies, talk to Bob about supplies, and include a price based on time spent. Again, I'm happy with the work, I'm NOT happy with Bob. Bob is NOT customer focused - it's all about Bob.
The customer and I met to look at the job and I gave a estimate for the work. The estimate included the price and scope of work, not including paint. I did have concerns that it may take longer than 2 days, so I sent a extra guy to assist in getting the work done on time. This is what we do when needed. I did not lie about anything. I gave a quote and completed the work. He wanted a discount after he added several areas that were not in the quote. He did this with my guys thinking I would not know. We did it for him and did not add any cost. Just a learning experience for us. He had the paint there when we arrived and knew exactly what he wanted.
