"Bruce repaired our back door with amazing precision! It was an awkward metal door that was installed by a prior rehab contractor (over a year ago) from standard to wheelchair width door. The door was never flush or mounted correctly. As time went by, the door became unusable. Bruce tackled the challenge with ease and made the door fit snug, smooth & with a solid feel. For a little extra, he also installed a new storm door we purchased to the same back door. Even though he ran out of time on the first day, he returned the next day and cheerfully finished up and made sure that I was totally comfortable with the feel and sturdiness of the doors. He also suggested an additional safety lock which he picked up and installed that as well for both front & back doors. Once we get our foundation in order, if we have any other issues with any of our doors, we will be calling Bruce for estimates for those adjustments. Pilot Point is fairly far from most decent, reliable contractors. I can't tell you how many flaky guys are around who don't know their craft! Bruce made a difference in the quality of our lives; literally. I take care of my disabled hubby; unable to do even the simple things due to energy or time restraints. Our back door was taken from a 32" to 36" by a contractor we used a year ago. It was never installed correctly and was incomplete. It finally stopped working. Bruce gave a quote for the repair & re-installation, as well as for another nominal fee, to put in a new storm door. When he was done, our door finally fit properly and we now have a beautiful storm door bonus! There are no gaps; it is airtight, snug and easy to open & close. He pointed out where the other contractor missed some points, and showed what needed to be done & why. He was very patient. He did not rush, and actually came the next day to complete it to the level he wanted it to be. All of the "T's" were crossed and "I's" dotted, from what we saw when he was finished. Noting my hubby's handicapped status, Bruce also came up with suggestions of improving & smoothing over transition over the threshold. He adjusted the ramp from outside to fit the new door threshold location, and made helpful suggestions for the transition portion inside the house. He also noted additional safety measure we could install at our door lock area, and we asked that he put it in place, and he did so. Thanks, Bruce! It took a long time to find someone who knows what he is doing. We highly recommend Bruce for those jobs that seem overwhelming, but are very important to you, and they just have to be done. Bruce is the exception, as he knows what he is doing, and he does it very well. You may find his quote a bit high, but he does deliver quality craftsmanship, you get your money's worth and you will not be disappointed! "This company is by far the most responsive, professional, skilled and compassionate service provider I've had the good fortune to come across in all of the DFW metroplex. Last autumn, the AC unit that cools our bedrooms upstairs had gone out, but at the time my husband assured me he'd handle it before summer came around again. Shortly afterward our marriage dissolved, and order gave way to chaos as a lengthy 6-month divorce ensued that consumed our family. In May, when I was able to turn my attention to the house again, several problems existed that needed immediate attention; the AC being at the top of the list. For 5 weeks I contacted, scheduled and coordinated service calls with 3 other AC repair companies; nothing had panned out, the primary reason being the lack of available HVAC repair techs to handle the high volume of service calls made after the first major heat wave of the summer. All three companies missed one or more of the scheduled home visits I had secured. One company ignored my follow-up calls completely; another sent a tech who laughed at everything, even while quoting the exorbitant amount estimated for repairs (he left with a promise to be back in a few hours, 5 days later I was calling the office to ask if they planned on sending anyone back out). I was at my wits end with the lack of professionalism among repair companies and the tempers flaring from my teenagers. Determined to make the last HVAC call that would result in my needs being met, I painstakingly sifted through reviews on Google, Yelp and BBB to find the most reliable repair company that services my residential neighborhood. It takes a good tech to provide a solution that works....but it takes a truly gifted individual to do it at a fraction of the time AND cost, while teaching an inexperienced bystander the logic behind the process.
