Write a ReviewMy husband and I were EXTREMELY impressed and satisfied with the quality workmanship to our new deck. The Dexpert professional demonstrated knowledge, skills, and pride in his performance, which yielded an exceptional job. Well done!! The worker, Jody, was not only an obvious expert in his profession, but he was kind, helpful, and caring. He was the epitome courtesy and awesome workmanship. I will definitely recommend The Dexperts to all my family and friends who need this type of work for their homes.
Chad came out and when he assessed the project he was very informative about color choices, textures and the entire process. Everything turn out and great, and they cleaned up beautifully
I was in need BADLY of a new fence. So who did I call? The Dexpert!!! Even one of my neighbors said WOW they sure took the one down and put that one up fast! BEAUTIFUL WORK!!! Efficient!!! They were here working early in the morning and now I am the envy of the neighborhood! Best quality that you could ask for!!!! Best company! Workers very friendly, owner came by multiple times to ensure things were being handled correctly. Trust me, you can't go wrong with them!
Salesman made a pitch that the reason for the seemingly high cost for just a 12 X 12 Arbor was because the job would take at least a day. Requiring lots of preparation and difficult stain work. In actuality, the workman were here for a total of 45 minutes. Quite a large overstatement of labor requirement. Their management has lots of excuses. Their minimum for doing anything is $400. So be aware of that if you call them. We DO NOT recommend them.
We sell all of our projects on a square footage basis. We give a price for the project and take no money up front. Our teams are highly trained and have the best equipment and materials available. There are many things that might slow a project down, but occasionally a project has no problems and goes off without a hitch. In this case we quoted a discounted fair market price which the customer agreed to, and performed the work with which the customer was satisfied. The only complaint here is that we sent a senior team on a beautiful day and suffered no delays. The customer subsequently asked for an additional discount based on our efficiency in getting the job done which we declined to offer. The work of getting any job done starts long before the stain is applied and the direct labor cost is static based on square footage, not hourly rates. If I had sent a slower team or had high winds or other adverse conditions to contend with; the team would have been paid the same. If the project had taken more than a day, I imagine the customer would not have felt obligated to pay more, so why should he pay less for getting exactly what we agreed to do? I want every customer to be satisfied; but offering after the fact discounts based on providing too good of service is not a business model I can embrace.
I was promised that before the company put on the stain, it would be completely sanded down. The 4x4s would be *brushed* as they do not sand those down. I even mentioned the lines that were drawn to put on the railing. The salesman said they would get rid of all of it. Low and behold they did not sand any of it and put the stain on top. Now those pencil marks are stained in. The 4x4s did not even look like they were touched. Terrible work.
We sand every deck and top cap we stain with 80 grit ceramic paper. We are doing so in an effort to remove mill scale and remove loose and or damaged fiber. As for pencil marks on rail sections we have a common problem which is that the aluminum balusters are recessed into the wood which means that we risk scarring and damaging the powder-coat finish on them if we sand too close. Since each pencil mark is by nature lined up directly with a baluster, we often cannot remove them without damaging the adjacent finish. Some carpenters know this and remove the pencil marks after drilling the recess for the baluster; some do not. Its not a perfect s
Their customer response and overall handling of the pre-work process thus far has been ultra professional. The work however, is not scheduled until 3 weeks from now. I expect that it will be very well.
They did a great job on schedule and at a great price.
Dexpert came out the day after I call them and on time to give me an estimate and set a day to come. They did a good job however there is a few spots that need touch ups, hopefully they will come over as they said.
Project started as promised and completed timely. Our deck and gazebo is now beautiful. I would highly recommend this company.
Dexpert was superb in all aspects of their service. They kept me informed at all times when they would be coming out and were always on time. Had few spots that needed touched up. They came out day after I called and did touch up. My deck is beautiful. Will have them come out when time to stain again.
