Gary Van Essendelft and Van could not have done a better job. They turned a dried up wood deck and a very stained cement deck into brand new decks. They were very patient with me deciding on paint and stain colors. They helped with moving the heavy furniture and made sure that everything was cleaned up. Ame on time every day. I never thought I would have masked men on my deck that were super cool. LOL. Highly recommend.

I contacted Gary with Stained Rite based on these reviews. on this site. I was impressed with his professionalism from the 1st conversation we had . He was not the cheapest, but he was the one I was most comfortable with, so I trusted him with my project of staining my new fence. I wanted 2 coats of stain on my fence. That was important to me and several people told me to have 2 coats put on. I went in to great detail, you go down one side then the other, then go back over each side again, He understood that and we agreed on that. Unfortunately, that is not what happened. I am so thankful that I have cameras on my property. I had my Nest app open all day while I was at work. His worker only went down each side of my fence once . There clearly was not a 2nd coat put on. I addressed it when I got home. Gary said he knows 2 coats were put on based on the amount of stained used. I asked him then to please explain what I saw on my video from the camera as his worker only went down each side once. From there it was just excuses. Gary came out and put a 2nd coat on, but he did not put anything down to protect my property as I have overspray on my grass, downspouts, and block retaining wall. I wanted to share with each of you my experience, so that you are aware that Gary was not honest which is so unfortunate. I just don't understand why people can't do what they say they are going to do the first time. If you do hire him, please make sure you have cameras on your property. I would not have known what he did had I not had my cameras. UPDATE 10/13/20: Gary, the owner of Stained Rite called HomeAdvisor to dispute my review for no work done ... He claimed he had no idea who I was, nor did he do any work for me. Home Advisor told me it was my responsibility to send in any documentation that validated Stained Rite did work for me in order for my review to be re-posted. I provided HomeAdvisor with the Stained Rite invoice, the endorsed check made payable to Stained Rite, and a screen shot of Gary's calls to me. This just shows how low Gary would go to make the claim he made. Gary needs to take accountability and own that he was not honest with our agreement and got caught.

Great job, Great people, Job was completed ahead of time. They do what they say. You will love it!!!
