The sales person told me that the orange color in the discharge line was because the tank was full of rust and need to be flushed out. They came and I was told that they flushed out our water softener system and reset the timer. I specifically ask the service person if the discharge line would be clear after the work, and he said yes. Total work time to complete the job was 15 minutes. THE SERVICE CHARGE WAS $300.00USD. (no parts) When I went down about ten days later to put pellets in the tank I saw that the discharge line was still showing orange color discharge. I called the office and finally spoke with the owner. It turns out that he was the service person that came to the house. He denies that he told me line would be clear. I use a distiller for drinking water, and it will show any deposits left from distilling. We have never had any rust deposits show up in the tank. The discharge line still looks the same after $300 and 15 minutes work. We got ripped off.

It is great to have drinking water and not have to rely on buying water with all the plastic waste it creates, and not have to deal with the mineral buildup in our appliances and faucets!
