John was very fast at responding and fast at helping us resolve our radon. He installed it pretty quickly and now my readings are very low. Their pricing was great too! Highly recommend.

My crawlspace floor was already lined, so I accepted a bid from Radon Mitigation Masters to install pipe inside the crawlspace and pipe and fan on the outside wall. After they had been here a while, John Woods (RMM owner) approached me to suggest they really should add another leg inside the crawlspace due to its size. I had given him the size before he gave me a bid, so I suspect he knew he was going to hit me with the upcharge before he left home that day, but I agreed as it seemed like a legit concern.  A week after the installation, I began to hear a strange noise. I finally found that water was trapped in the horizontal pipe just inside the crawlspace where the pipe exited to the outside. There was enough water that it was blocking the pipe, which caused a vacuum to build up. When the vacuum was released, I would hear a low volume pop. In addition to being very annoying, I suspected water was getting pulled into the fan on the outside of the house. I put a level on the horizontal pipe and found its lowest point was just before it elbowed up and out of the side of the house. Water from condensation was pooling there. I read that a properly installed radon mitigation system should slope the opposite way so that condensation would not build up in the pipe. I called Radon Mitigation Masters and explained the issue. They agreed to return to remediate it. I thought they would slope the pipe correctly, but instead they decided to put a third vertical suction pipe near where the piping exited from the house and at the point where the condensation was pooling (low spot). That seemed to me to be a reasonable solution. What I did not immediately recognize was that in doing so, they rotated the pipe exiting the house slightly, which caused the formerly plumb piping on the outside of the house to now have a crook in it. This may or may not affect the functionality of the system, but it certainly makes it look like a rookie did it. I accept the fact that I am a rookie, and I would never have left it like that. I contacted RMM and explained the issue. John said they would return to fix the problem. It has been several weeks now and they have not returned to fix it and they have not called to reschedule. Today I found that they did not glue the last T they installed (to repair the condensation problem), so it has separated from the downpipe and the system is no longer removing radon from beneath the membrane. It is now just sucking air from the crawlspace.  I have not asked Radon Mitigation Masters to return because I just do not need that kind of frustration in my life. Sure, it is their responsibility and sure, they can probably fix this in one or two (who knows how many) more visits, but I just really don't want them on my property any more, so I will fix it myself.  There you go. There is your warning. Hire Radon Mitigation Masters at your own risk. I have pictures of the shoddy workmanship, but I do not see any way to post them here. They are available to anyone who would like to see them.

Radon Mitigation Masters was the only firm to send credential certificates and certificate of liability insurance along with the estimate for radon mitigation. John was happy to entertain any question I had before choosing is firm to do the work and while he was performing the work. He was efficient in his work and kept the work areas clean. I would recommend Radon Mitigation Masters to anyone requiring this type of service.

John is very knowledgeable about radon. He presents the facts and lets you decide. No pressure applied. I was expecting the mitigation effort to be much more involved than it actually was. Because of their know how, they were able to install a system that took up minimal basement space and did not detract from my home's exterior. The things I dislike the most about a radon mitigation system are the way the fan and piping look on the outside of the home. You just can't hide them. Radon Mitigation Masters (RMM) knew how to pipe the system through the garage and up into the garage attic. The fan is mounted in the garage attic and is exhausted through the attic sidewall to the outside. All you see high up on the exterior wall is a 1 inch long piece of pipe with a bird screen over the end of it. I painted the short piece of pipe to match the exterior wall and it is not noticeable at all. A very stealth option would have been to exhaust it though the garage roof so it just looked like another vent stack. However, I just had the garage reroofed and I did not want to make a penetration in it. Another thing I liked about RMM is that they listened to my preferences and gave me honest feedback regarding them. John quoted what I thought was a very reasonable price for the system, installed it to my preferences and did not come back and ask for extras. Follow up after the installation included monitoring the radon level to insure the system was performing as expected, a written report documenting the results, homeowner instructions, warranty papers and receipt. Very professional.

I called a few places, and they had the best price in the area. They came out pretty quick, and they were done pretty quickly. It was convenient arranging times to pick up the test kit and all of that. The tests at the end all came back great!
