Very pleased with the work by RA Design. Very professional from start to finish. Our main project was replacing a large porch on a house Circa 1805. The custom woodwork to replace the original columns with scroll work was the work of a master craftsman! We will continue to use RA for future projects.

We wanted to let you know that we appreciate all the hard work your crew has put into our kitchen remodel. We had our first guests over this weekend and everyone's jaw just dropped when they saw our kitchen. I couldn't have been happier! The custom cabinets and counter tops turned out so much better than we could have ever imagined. The new floor is wonderful, and the lighting is perfect! I do not recommend and our experience makes the other reviews on this site seem fictional. over promised, under delivered, were unprofessional (not at first, at first very personable and eager) confrontational/angered easily work done was sub-standard and not to code untimely a 5 day job was still not complete after 6 months Never given arrival time and mid-morning meant 11:30 or later Rick did what he wanted and when we requested corrections/fixes to work not done to standard or as agreed, we were greeted with resistance, followed by excuses, and refusal to make right unless we paid for change requests (we did not make changes). When we persisted the work be corrected, Rick used profanity, made inappropriate comments and became aggressive/confrontational. Sue also witnessed this behavior and was o.k. with it! We cancelled the contract (? + of total paid). We will have to hire someone else (pay again) to have the work that was done incorrectly, corrected to standard, and the work not done, completed. The details ... Hired to remodel/install a kitchenette with a raised bar in our basement (we had the cabinets, spacers, and kick plates). Rick told us it was a small job of no more than 5 full days (not consecutive) to complete. Six months later the job was still not complete and our basement in an unfinished state. We signed the contract 4/25/14 (paid 1/2 down). From 4/28/14 to 6/2/14 they were at our place a total of three ? days and 1 full day. As of November they had not returned. 6 months later, (3/4 of contract plus change requests paid) they had still not completed the small job. Finally returned on 11/7. On 11/10 after two hours onsite the contract was cancelled. -Rick hooked up hot/cold water and drain for the kitchenette sink using existing lines going to a bathroom in our basement. The lines Rick added were not secured and move when the bathroom faucet is turned on making a knocking sound. When asked to fix, Rick responded it was too late because he had already installed the drywall. - Contract stated the faucet was to be Delta, the faucet provided is a Price Pfister. -The countertops are not standard. One side of the regular countertop is standard (25 inches deep) and the other side is not(24 ¾ inches deep). This means the countertop will never over hang the door/drawer fronts as it should. Never saw the raised bar top. -The cabinets are cherry wood(no grain) in a nutmeg stain. The wood inlay was made up of two different types of wood (appears to be pine and oak) with a lot of grain and variance in the color of the stain. The wood inlay did not match appearance of the cherry wood cabinets. -Contract stated standard kitchen & Rick attempted to install white PVC board as the backsplash(laminate a dark gray). When addressed, I was told a change request was needed and have to pay extra for the standard backsplashes in matching laminate. -Wall cabinets were hung to low and in turn the electrical

Rick and his crew (Ricky & Chad) are very professional and quick. We had a wall and flooring that was rotted out and a sliding door that had popped it's seal and looked awful. They put in new framing, flooring, drywall and installed my new Atrium Door in one day. Rick stayed late, until it was done. Everything looks great! My wife is extremely happy, which makes me happy too. They got the job done on the day they said it would be done. Also, I feel like I can trust them completely, which is very important to us. I do most of my own home improvement, but for the things I'm not completely confident about, I'll get RA Building & Design again in the future. Rick and his crew were great, professional, cleaned-up the work area. I'm very pleased with the door install. I currently requested them to bid on two more jobs (basement painting and sealing floor) and concrete work (replace current sidewalk and build a new one). Very happy I met Rick and looking forward to meeting Sue.

Our deck is amazing. We absolutely love it. Everyone that sees it asks who built it for us and we get so excited telling them about Rick and Sue. They are very professional, show up when they say they will and the pricing can't be beat. Ricks attention to detail and his quality of work is second to none.
