Write a ReviewMy daughter's kitchen sink was backing up. I could not remove with my 8 ft. Snake and we called Ben Franklin and asked for the hydro-jet service to remove the blockage. The technician could not remove the blockage due to a street elbow connection with clean out that prevented the hydro jet from traversing the drain pipe. Had to pay full price ($836) without solving the issue but was offered a $400 discount to have a complete replacement of the branch drain ($3100). I ended up getting a 15 ft. Snake and threaded it through the coupling where the copper branch met the PVC main drain and removed the blockage in less than an hour. Would not recommend this firm to anyone unsuspecting of the upsell tactics.
nice guy show us what he was doing good with time got it done within a hour pleasure to have to out for the work
They were excellent
Super fast and responsive!
The Deliberate Destruction of a Grandfathered Septic Dry well at a cost of $15,000.00 to Replace! In October 2024 I hired Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Andover to clear a blocked drain pipe and dig up and uncover my Septic Tank and Septic Drywell and pump the tank. Both are as old as the house and grandfathered. Inadequate compared to todays systems however legal under grandfather clause with no permit needed. Under the guise of Safety They destroyed the dry well without my permission . I am seeking a refund of $12,000.00 to replace it . - My plan was to dig it up and clean it up but it was a lost cause- this puts me in a position of having to install a modern leach field at a cost of 9 to 15 thousand dollars vs. a few hundred dollars to to tie the new septic tank with the old dry well with PVC pipe. Thats why they did it- They were setting me up for the next big payment $$ Now they are claiming it was a safety issue that required them to destroy it ! I am demanding a $12,000.00
Very resourceful fixed problem in a timely manner
The job was done right . Very nice to talk to. He check everything before he left to make sure everything was working good. I would use them agene.
Benjamin Franklin was great to work with. They were quick to respond to my Angi request. They came the next day to provide a quote for installing our water filter and conditioner. When that was accepted They started the job immediately. The whole project was done within 24 hours of my Angi post. Jaime C. Was our technician. His work was impeccable. The end result was better than I had hoped for. I highly recommend Benjamin Franklin Plumbing.
We had a little issue - did not ask a lot of questions or do a visual inspection before snaking our shower drain - turns out we should not have done that due to this drum trap we had. Long story short ending up breaking a pipe - but it was all so old we needed to get it replaced anyway. I had to fight for what I thought was right, but at the end of the day they took care of the price and the situation. Overall this company is probably too expensive for their quality of services, but they were very kind and worked hard to fix this situation.
They did a excellent job.
