Write a ReviewHorrible customer service! Skimmer basket was leaking after resurface and they wouldn't warranty their shoddy work. BEWARE!
I hired Playa to retile and replaster my in ground pool and I paid them over $11,000 for the job.. The quality of their work was poor. When they finished the job, the new tiles and the existing coping had grout and plaster on them. They broke tiles but used them anyway. They left white plastic tile spacers exposed. They did not properly replace the inflow and outflow fittings. They did not start the job on time and were extremely poor in communicating with me, frequently simply ignoring my texts asking when they were going to start or complete the project. Ultimately they drained my pool to fix the problems with the plaster and tile work. Then the owner told me he did not have any money and so he could not pay to cost to refill the pool even though it had to be drained because of the poor quality of their work. Another member of the owning family promised me he had fixed the problem which was causing the old tiles to fall off. I had told him repeatedly that I was not going to replace the tile unless he could fix the problem. Now, 6 months later, the same problem is already recurring. I had to threaten a law suit to even get the owner to come back to see what is happening. He said the problem is with the coping and they had not been hired to fix the coping. Thatâ s is true but they did tell me they could fix the problem so the tiles would not fall off again which they did not do. There were other smaller issues which indicate problems with the way the company is managed. For example, one day they asked me which color plaster I had selected because they could find their records on that. After one owner had me select from a group of tiles to use as accent tiles, her brother later told me the tiles were too large and so they could not do the accent tiles which were part of the contract. I have photos, texts and emails to document all of this. I definitely would not recommend this company.
Playa Pools did a great job on a fairly large underground plumbing repair job, replaced a skimmer and had to remove and replace existing brick to make these repairs. It turned out great and brick work looks great! I would give them 100% but I am still waiting on them to come finish cleaning the residue off of the brick.
3day to 1 week took 5 weeks. After 3 weeks new paint job peeled. I got tired of dealing with so many people in the family that I payed them and called another company.
Playa pools was very upfront with communicating how the project was going to be completed, they exceed our expectations and kept us under our budget
They did a great job!!
Great job from start to finish !
The gentlemen who came to repair the coping on the pool were very courteous, a very good job, and left the area neat and tidy! Would definitely recommend Playa Pools and Plaster to anyone needing pool repair!
Orlando and his team of professionals did a great job replacing the tile and plastering my pool. The finished product was beautiful. They were very fast, friendly and courteous. This family ran operation is top notch. I will definitely use them for other projects as needed.
