We had a signed agreement for electrical work, I paid half up front, and on the very morning they were supposed to show up, they called to say they ?couldn?t do it for that price? and wanted more money. In my opinion, that?s unprofessional and felt like a bait-and-switch. If you can?t stand by your own quote, don?t take the job and my deposit. Pulling this stunt on the day of service showed, to me, a complete lack of reliability and respect for customers? time. I?ll gladly take my business elsewhere, and I think others should do the same.

Response from Company:

Tyler, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret that your experience with us did not meet your expectations, and we understand the frustration when plans change on the day of service. At Mister Sparky, our core value of Ethos ? doing the right thing, period ? means that we cannot knowingly proceed with work that is bid below the true cost of doing it safely, correctly, and to code. When our licensed master electrician reviewed your project in detail, we discovered that the original quote would not allow us to complete the work to the standard our customers deserve and that code compliance requires. We know this adjustment caused inconvenience, and we apologize for the timing and disruption. In the days leading up to your scheduled work, we had already ordered materials and pulled the required permit, but when the oversight came to light, we believed it was our responsibility to address it with you directly before starting. Proceeding at the original price would have meant cutting corners ? something we will never do. To honor our commitment to fairness, we are refunding 100% of your deposit in full. While this situation is rare, your feedback will help us improve our internal review steps so that pricing discrepancies are caught earlier. We strive to be Engaged and transparent in our communication, and while we stand by the decision to ensure the work could be done to the highest standard, we recognize we could have handled the timing and process better. We remain committed to delivering the Legendary service we are known for, even when that means making difficult calls to protect safety, quality, and our customers? long-term interests. ? Albert B

Too bad I had to give them even 1 star. Mr. Sparky will find the absolute most expensive test and diagnostics to run for the simplest issue. Jeremy took advantage of a stressed out woman who simply had an arcing outlet and charged over $1100 to replace it and tighten connections in 2 outlets on the same circuit. Jeremy logged over 2 hours on the job per the owner, while spending hardly over an hour. Half of which was spent writing a quote for $8000 worth of work while enjoying and laughing at the tv in the background. Jeremy was lingering inside and outside the house after the work was complete. Upon speaking to the owner, the owner made personal attacks against myself and my wife. The owner proceeded to tell me that I should have been at home taking care of my family rather than being at work. Terrible company with terrible leadership. They will respond and say I was treating them poorly. At the end of the day they have to pay for their cookie cutter business by over charging ALOT.

They sent me a kid who doesn?t seem to know what to do, and they asked $770 for changing a plug. Stay away this company
