We have long ties to Annapolis and had become familiar with Spire and one of its principals, Craig Martin, in particular. Though we live in Virginia, we wanted his particular creative vision and preservation sensitivity for an addition to our old River house, c. 1870. We found Craig and the entire Spire group to be entirely professional, while also personable, excellent listeners, patient and responsive to many questions in a timely manner and attentive to every detail for our schematics. Craig and Brady Reeder, the design technician, were a joy to work with. Our first experience with an architectural firm and it was a fabulous experience.

Craig worked on the kitchen, front hall, staircase, and bathroom remodel. Fabulous attention to detail. Good use of existing design elements in our house. Reviewed the project with both my husband and myself on a regular basis to be sure that we were on tract and in line with our wishes. When a design detail didn't seem right we stopped and talked before proceeding. Good use of funds.

Craig and Kurt were able to design an addition to our home that we can't wait to see completed! They worked diligently and professionally to stay within our budget, communicating every step of the way, and facilitated the selection and hiring of our contractor who they work with extremely well. They listened to all of our needs and wants, came up with suggestions of their own, and together we quickly had a completed design. I highly recommend this firm and you won't find nicer people to work with.
