Was asked to put together a portable pipe frame garage (storage space) following the directions supplied. Although the directions said it was a two man job he said he could handle it alone. We agreed on a price and he returned the following morning at 9 am to begin. He spent 5 hours on it . He said (after the fact) he did not completely understand the instructions and had to take apart several pieces and do them over. I had previously explained that if he needed help with anything to come to me. He did not and the job was unfinished and sloppy and not secured to the deck it was built over. Very prompt and friendly but decision making is poor. Would not rehire him again. I am a LIFE MEMBER of the HANDYMAN CLUB of AMERICA but at 84 YRS old I depend on help.

When I left the customer said he was more than satisfied with the work. I would have been there immediately if the homeowner had called me in regard to any kind of dissatisfaction related to the work done.

Wow , great experience with Mr. Lavin. He answered my call promptly , and when I explained the nature of my somewhat emergency situation , he was on board in less than 24 hours. Mr. James is very skilled , and works at his task diligently, He was factual and asked questions in our initial communication , in order to have the project get a head start and turn out successful in a timely matter. Mr. Lavin showed me that he is working on the project prior to the actual appointment. I have to also add that he is a kind and patient gentleman. Mr. Lavin takes pride in his art as well. If there were a higher rating ,I would certainly give one.
