They left the job perfect. It was soo clean. I really liked that when they were done, they cleaned everything with the sponge. They remodeled my shower and they left me the left over material in my attic.

The initial communication with the company was positive. They responded promptly and provided a free estimate within 48 hours. They were also willing to match a competitors price, which secured our business. We had already purchased the tile for the project. I inquired about the specific additional materials needed and their quantities. After researching the materials, I purchased higher-grade products based on specifications, quality, and user reviews. I confirmed the quantities with the company before finalizing my purchases. The issue arose when the installers discovered they did not have enough grout. While I offered to send someone to purchase the additional grout, the owner informed me the installers were already en route. Unfortunately, upon completion of the project, it became evident that a different brand and type of grout had been used. The owner initially denied this discrepancy, even providing a misleading picture of a grout bag. When I further addressed this with the owner, she repeatedly denied the discrepancy and provided conflicting explanations. This included claiming they bought the exact grout, not having a receipt due to rushing, and then stating they would not charge for materials (despite previously requesting receipts). My primary concern was the use of a different grout than the one I had chosen. Having had previous negative experiences with material substitutions, I emphasized the importance of material consistency for long-term performance. I explained that different grout formulations can lead to issues like improper adhesion, increased water damage risk, and aesthetic inconsistencies that worsen over time. The specific grout I purchased (MAPEI Ultracolor Plus FA) has superior specifications and quality compared to the Custom Polyblend Plus Sanded Grout they used. Mixing these grouts could compromise the overall performance of the higher-grade material. Despite my concerns, the owner maintained that the alternative grout was equivalent and refused to acknowledge any potential issues. The specific grout I had chosen (MAPEI Ultracolor Plus FA) offered superior specifications and quality compared to the product ultimately used (Custom Polyblend Plus Sanded Grout). Mixing these grouts could lead to costly repairs due to the long-term effects of using dissimilar grout types. Despite my explanations, the owner remained dismissive, stating that no other customer had complained. This implies a lack of transparency regarding material selection in past projects. While the tile leveling and placement by the installers were satisfactory, the use of the wrong grout undermines the overall quality of the work. They even attempted to blend the different grouts visually, further negating the benefits of the higher-grade product. As mentioned previously, the workmanship itself was acceptable. However, the owner lack of transparency, misleading statements, and dismissive attitude regarding my concerns were highly unprofessional. I can not recommend this contractor. And if you are wondering if the owner apologized for lying? No, she did not. Even after I sent her a photo of the installer carrying the Custom Polyblend Plus Sanded Grout into the house. She refused to acknowledge that she did anything wrong.
