    We had a new gas tankless hot water heater installed in our new home by a different plumbing company approximately eight months ago. A few weeks ago, our carbon monoxide detectors went off in our home in the middle of the night, I was home alone due to my husband working out of town so I called 911 and the fire department came out. They traced the carbon monoxide leak coming from the hot water heater. After the original plumber told us it would be over a week before he would be able to come out to our home to assess this potentially fatal issue, I contacted Hot Water Solutions. Darren called me back the very same day and the very next day Justin was at our home assessing the problem. Turns out, the original plumber never glued the exhaust or intake lines going in or out of our hot water heater, not to mention the exhaust and intake vents on the outside of the house not only were too short, but weâ re not installed far enough away from each other to prevent the intake from pulling the exhaust back into the system. As a result weâ ve been having small amounts of carbon monoxide leaking into our home for almost a year. Fortunately, the hot water heater was in the garage so the carbon monoxide was primarily in the garage with small outs detected where the garage door leads into the house but, our grand childrenâ s bedrooms are right next to the garage so this could have been catastrophic. I have the upmost respect for Darren and Justin for their responsiveness, professionalism and expertise! We highly recommend Hot Water Solutions!
