Was prompt and quickly took care of failing front door sweep. A ridiculously simple job that health issues prevented me from doing. We are already having him quote some other work.

Hammer construction showed up to my house on time. They got right to work and did great work putting together a desk in a chair that I need to get put together as soon as possible. They were very personable and easy to talk to and I plan on using them for jobs for jobs in the future. Absolutely if you need something done around your house and you want it done right these are the people you need to call.

Chris did an excellent job repairing three doors that needed adjusting. He realigned locks, strike plates and ensured there was a good seal when closed. He also pointed out a bare wood strip on the side of the door that was swelling in the humidity making the door stick. He planed the edge and painted it so that the swelling would no longer be an issue. He cleaned up and charged a reasonable amount for the work he did. I have already hired him to do some additional work. I highly recommend this company.

Chris is amazing. Cut our shower tile perfectly to widen the hole so the plumber could remove a faulty diffuser. He also cut the drywall on the back of the shower to reach the water pipes to stabilize them. He replaced the drywall and will paint the wall to finish the job. He is knowable in all areas of construction and I have him working on other projects for me. He is easy to work with and makes suggestions along the way. Is always prompt in his communication to keep me informed of the scheduling of a job or updates on the status which is rare these days. Would highly recommend him for any job you may have.

We are very satisfied with the stairs. Chris and Alli did a great job sanding the old color off and replacing it with the new color. They were professional, helpful with advice and cleaned up everything well. We would highly recommend them!

Chris Downie and his wife Allie did a great job sanding and staining ouir porch and deck. He also applied white plastic trim around the porch, repaired the broken screening and reconstructed our hallway light at the bottom of the stairway to the cellar. Arrived on time, worked hard completing tasks, and gave a fair estimate of the materials and labor. I expect to use him again for painting the screened porch before fall.

We initially reached out to Chris in connection with a few small projects (fixing a leaky roof, hanging art, installing curtain rods, etc.) that we needed done around our house. Once we met Chris and realized how competent and helpful he is, we decided to hire him not only for those projects, but also to install flooring, paint staircases, and renovate our bathrooms.
