Reviews
Write a ReviewGuardian Professional is a great company to work with I have a construction defect issue with my siding and they came out and determined what kind of siding was really installed. They determined where all the damage is and that they never hung the siding to the proper specks. They are just a top-notch company to work with all their employees are very professional and sub-contractors do a great job. I would recommend them to everyone!
Thank you for the opportunity to help you. Unfortunately most of the projects we complete are involved in the process of replacing defective installations where the previous company hired projects have failed prematurely. Most of these projects like yours are failing and must be replaced after only 8-10 years.
Guardian Exteriors takes a different approach by educating their clients first and then offering various options. Guardian has spoken at the Chapter and State level numerous times to Home Inspectors throughout Wisconsin for "WAHI". As an experienced Inspector that looks to protect the buyer and their families with one of the largest financial obligations, I refer Guardian.
Thank you for the recommendation. We appreciate the acknowledgement of our consumer concentric approach of performing a thorough inspection, educating them on spectrum of options, and then advising on best fit for their needs and performing the turn-key construction services as a superior approach to the typical industry experience.
Right now, all I can give them is a 5 star rating because I DON'T KNOW! I hired them, but I have not been put on the schedule, yet. It is still winter and the work won't be done until spring or summer. Ask me again at that time. You are sure jumping the gun by asking for a review BEFORE the work is done!
Poor customer service in not responding to phone calls. Left large dumpster bag on lawn by street for two weeks which killed the grass
We are sorry to hear of your comments regarding difficulty getting in contact with someone. Our main phone number 414-226-5619 and is answered by live operator 24/7 to make sure all calls are answered or returned timely. The Bagster-dumpster bag from Waste Management pick up process is automated via the web. This project had the request for pick up processed immediately and signaled a curb side pick up in 1-3 days. We apologize if Waste Management had any delays that caused any inconvenience. We appreciate your feedback and will use it to better inform others of the potential for delay from Waste Management.
signed contact May 13th 2016, started making payments, but no work has been done yet. It is sept. 16 2016, and have had contact with them 1 time. Have called about concerns and additions to roofing contract but no one will reply back. We made 4-5 calls to no avail. So right now I think I was taken. If they ever do the job, I will let you know how it went. FOLLOWUP: A few things... They came. finally, around the 15th of Oct. 5 days and done. I ended up re-securing my cable/landline that pulled out by old shingles falling on wire and pulling it away. They did try to secure it but did not hold, I did fix it myself due to an extra charge for them to do it. Now also an issue I have is the vent for bathroom was put too far from bath fan unit. Still haven`t been able to attach together. It seems they cleared the area for nails around house, but now was told by the auto mechanic that 2 tires had too many nails(roofing) to repair tires, which now I must buy at least 2 new tires. Will wait for reply from Guardian to come to a compromise before moving forward.
There appears to be some confusion. The cable being referenced was attached by an eye hook through the fascia board that was not part of the roofing project. During the project the eye hook vibrated out of the fascia board because the underlying board was so rotted out that it would not secure the eye hook. We attempted, at no cost, to re-secure the eye hook per your request but the underlying boards were completely rotted out, which is why it pulled out again. We informed you that we would be willing to take the fascia apart and upon exposing the rotten wood, would replace it, but that since it was not part of the roofing project, the rotten wood replacement and new trim metal work would have to be done at an additional charge as they were not part of the original roofing project. When given that option you informed our project manager that you did not want our installers to do anything more and that you cable provider was coming out the next day and you were going to try and have them take care of it at no charge to you since they were doing a service there anyway. As for the issue with the bathroom vent location, that does not line up with our project notes. At the time your roof was installed, you did not have a bathroom exhaust fan in place, but once the roof was already started you had mentioned that you may decide to add one in the bathroom at some point down the road, but did not know where in the bathroom it would be located so asked if we could cut in a vent in the roof for you to hook up to at a later date, which we did. Upon cutting in that vent you told the crew foreman that you did not like the location and requested that he move it to where it is currently located, so we relocated the vent at your request to the location that you requested. If now, you are finding that whoever is installing your bathroom fan cannot hookup to the vent due to where they are deciding to place it, it can certainly be moved if we can come to an agreement on what that will entail as the current vent is located where you requested it be placed. Regarding your tires. On 5 separate occasions: After the initial roofing removal, after the project was completed, after the dumpster was removed, after the leftover materials were removed, and on a separate return trip when we came back to paint some siding flashing that you requested we paint that was not part of the roof system, but we took care of anyway, we returned to the house re-inspected the work area, driveway, dumpster area, and material storage area, to verify the clean up. On at least 3 of those occasions a magnetic nail rake was used to confirm that all of the nails from project were removed. In none of these follow ups were there any nails that were found, let alone so many that would make a tire irreparable, and also, in none of those follow up visits had you ever mentioned to the foreman, project manager, or called into our office to mention any issues with nails in your times, Now
Before becoming Guardian - was Sigma with Matt Snyder. Filed bankruptcy and started as Guardian. We are in process of getting quotes for roof replacement that Matt did (as Sigma) 8 years ago. Used organic shingles (stopped being manufactured in 2002) for ridge caps - now deteriorating. Felt sheet for winterizing - shingles have gaps. Terrible workmanship. Roof does not pass inspection after only 8 years. Leaking. Flashing still a mess and that is after his $1,600 flashing repair done 6 years ago. Couldn't be more disappointed.
Misunderstanding: Guardian has operated since 1995. We cannot contribute to commentary as to the project described since no one from Guardian has seen or inspected the project.
quality work
Guardian showed honesty, integrity, respect, professionalism, compassion, and great care. As the company name says, "Guardian" guarded our home from the beginning, during, and after the full reconstruction/replacement that was needed. We appreciated how they also cared for our family by looking after our best interests/challenges from the beginning even through after the completion of the project. It's rare to find to find a company these days that maintains a high level of integrity. The staff is professional, always willing to answer any questions, and will address any concerns. I would gladly do business again with Guardian.
Guardian was honest, open, and professional from presenting their contract details, insurance information, answering questions , working through the full roof replacement and finishing the job. We found their work is more than 100% guaranteed, but they also "guarded our home and guarded what was in our best interest". This meant it was more than just replacing a roof, but helping a family heal through some unfortunate prior circumstances. They received the approval from legal counsel of being pro customer and not just pro contractor. We thank you and know because of your business practices great success is in your name!
They did a good job and were very good at explaining what they were doing. They also followed up very well. I am confident they will fix any issues we might have. Their work is guaranteed.
