Reviews
Write a ReviewNice fellows. Explained everything in detail. Cleaned up after they were finished. Did a nice job! Would highly recommend.
Good overall experience
I purchased a house and the first time it rained, I found I had a river running through my basement. After reviewing a few companies, I decided on FRS. The crew that completed the work, Gary Duvall-Joe Putnam-Davaughn Williams, arrived on time and completed the project ahead of schedule. They were courteous, professional, and took the time to go over the system that was being installed. I couldn't have asked for a better crew for this job. They kept the area free of debris and left it looking cleaner then it was before they arrived. The end result looks better than I expected it to and I will ask to have them sent back for any other project that may arise in the future. I would recommend them, without a doubt, to everyone.
I had a sump pump installed (fall 2022), along with drainage channels and a moisture barrier in one of corner of my basement. The sump pump has a battery backup system too. Install was done very professionally. They worked with me to finance the project through a 0% loan which was a nice feature. There was an issue in spring of 2023. They came promptly, diagnosed a bad pump and replaced free of charge. Recently the pump alarm kept going off intermittently. Got a repair tech scheduled to come out same week. He found a issue with how the alarm was placed and replaced that part. Both times that I had issues, thetechs were very knowledgeable and informed me further about how the system works. I would highly recommend this company for water issues.
The team came in on time, and finished in what seemed like no time. They were polite and professional. Definitely would recommend.
I feel compelled to share my utterly horrendous experience with Foundation Recovery Systems (FRS), the so-called professionals who installed a sump pump in my home. From start to finish, it has been an unmitigated disaster, and I strongly advise anyone considering their services to run in the opposite direction. Firstly, after signing the contract, I expected a seamless installation process. However, once the contract was signed the real cost started to add up. After the contract was signed a work crew came to view the basement. They said I had to have additional electrical work done and hire a contractor to take care of the drywall studs since they do not that. Not only did I have to deal with the installation of the sump pump itself, but I was also burdened with the unexpected need for electrical and drywall work. It seemed that FRS conveniently overlooked these essential requirements, leaving me to shoulder the burden and expense. After hiring an electrician and contractor the crew showed up to begin installation. The first thing the crew recommended was moving the discharge pump to a better spot for better water flow. This of course was an extra charge from the original contract agreement. The placement of the discharge pump, which was supposedly upgraded, turned out to be a catastrophic failure. When we had a major rain the discharge pump sent all the water to the side of the house which created a pool of water that flowed right back into the basement! After having to wait an additional 3 weeks for a different crew to move the discharge pump to a better location, I noticed I was still having water leaking in the basement. FRS then sent another crew out to try and fix the issue. Instead of using professional-grade solutions, the installers resorted to the absurd tactic of using literal tape to address the issue. I could not believe my eyes this level of incompetence is unacceptable. They used tape to connect the drains. Moreover, despite their repeated attempts to rectify the situation, the vapor walls proved to be another colossal failure. I had to endure the inconvenience of having their crew out not once, not twice, but three times to fix what should have been done correctly in the first place. The most infuriating aspect of this entire ordeal is the fact that the sump pump was not even installed properly. The system was supposed to have the appropriate slope to ensure effective water drainage. Since the drains were not installed at the proper slope the water just sits there instead of flowing properly to the sump pump and discharging. In summary, my experience with Foundation Recovery Systems has been an absolute disaster. Their disregard for proper installation, their haphazard attempts at repairs, and their unresponsive customer service have left me deeply dissatisfied. Save yourself the torment and look elsewhere for a competent and reliable sump pump installation company.
First s thank you to Tod for setting all this up for us. The two guys that came out were fantastic. Professional, knew what they were doing and worked great as a team. Thanks Trent and Joe.

Salesman came to our home to bid work to level the garage floor and lift and level the concrete leading to our front porch. I signed a contract and gave a deposit at that time. I had a second bid from another company, $1500 cheaper. As it turned out FRS had close to $1300 in charges that I did not need. The contract was vague, noting a product used, number of units, and a total price. Per the contract, I had 3 days to rescind. The second bid was 3 days later, so I was caught in the contract with money down. To their credit, they offered to match any price. I had the work done to comply with the contract. I was also afraid I would lose my deposit. Additionally, It appears that during the garage lift, the concrete was cracked and patched. I knew that to be a possibility only from reading the contract (not info from the salesman). However, I asked the crew if the floor had cracked, they said no, and had the nerve to take a $100 tip. I hope the work they did is what they say. I made multiple mistakes with this company. I write this to help the next guy make an educated purchase. DO NOT sign a contract immediately. Ask for a line by line description of the work to be done with a breakdown of the cost. Get a second or third bid.
They were on time and communicated with me throughout the process. They completed the task early and cleaned up the areas they worked on.
