Stephen Fenn was the first respondent to my inquiry, and based on our initial conversations I was comfortable with his approach and knowledge of septic replacement & willingness to work with my grading and tree/wood removal requests. I had a general idea of cost range, and the initial quote was within budget and reasonable. Town of Monroe regulations worked against the project, increasing the cost by 40% - Stephen put me in touch with his sand and topsoil suppliers so I could pay direct and better manage the project spend ($27,450 total cost). During the project - 15 days total time start-to-finish - Stephen was working two other installs so the schedule fluctuated daily - he did keep me informed via text message, which worked. Stephen is essentially a one-man operation with a helper, and is the equipment operator and business manager (not sure where the brothers in Fenn Brothers were) so was multitasking via his phone while working our project - not a big deal and didn't distract from the quality of the work. Very personable and good to work with. I didn't give value for money 5 stars due to Monroe regulations and cost overruns. Overall I'd recommend Stephen for your installation.

Fenn Brothers Construction did a great job replacing my septic system. I applaud them for their creativity in a somewhat difficult situation working closely with me and my town to get the job done with care. In the end, Stephen saved me a considerable amount of money when compared to prior estimates. One of Stephen's qualities is that he listens and responds. Overall terrific work. Thanks

Fenn Brothers worked quickly and efficiently with doing the job as promised. Steve, the owner, is completely part of the job the entire time and always knows what's going on. He did exactly what he said he would and was very personable and paid attention to detail. He is trustworthy, honest and knows exactly what he is doing. Fair and affordable price with quality work. Did not expect this level of excellence. Stephen went well beyond my expectations. Stephen was polite, courteous, and extremely informative. He even found a way to save me money. Fenn Brothers Construction was reliable, professional and, most importantly, hard working. Stephen did a great job of explaining the entire process and keeping me informed of any changes or issues. From start to finish Stephen was trustworthy and honest. He responded as quickly as possible and handled all permit and health department inspections.

Stephen was amazing. He always gave me alternative options to keep within my budget and be part of the decision making. The work was done quickly, neatly and I was always informed of what was going on.

Fenn brothers did a great job getting out on short notice to help us identify and unclog a block to our septic, then recommending and performing a septic tank replacement that was long overdue. Reasonably price. They did park their excavator on my neighbors lawn on accident, but did a decent job of communicating with my neighbor and offering to make any needed repairs. Good communication and promptness.

If I could give six stars - I would. Fenn Brothers Construction was fantastic. I was in a tough spot trying to sell my home and had very little time to correct issues that showed up in the home inspections. The service, communication and follow-up was phenomenal - better than I have ever experienced with a contractor. Stephen Fenn not only responded immediately to every request or question I had, he emailed status information as each stage of the job progressed. He was onsite when he said he would be, did everything professionally and accurately, and finished in 2 days. And cleaned up and removed all the trees and branches he needed to remove to complete the job. When I had a separate item to fix, he stepped up and completed this even though it was not related to the septic he was replacing. He was just great and I plan to use him for anything else I undertake in the future. This company definitely exemplifies the best definition of quality customer service and results.
