We hired them to do a 3- to 4-dday job. Quoted us $2500 WITHOUT materials. The first time out, he was here with three guys for like 15 minutes. The second time he was out, he was here with three guys for 4 hours. He required payment after one half day of work and the job being half complete. He then said he would get the materials. I followed up with him every 2-3 days, but he was always busy at other jobs. We hired him even though he was about $600-700 MORE expensive than others, but he came highly recommended. About two weeks later, he asked if I had the materials. I told him why he did not let me know two weeks ago, and I would have gotten them. He simply ignored my question and started rambling on about what I needed to buy. He dropped his guys off. And they began framing. They did half and said it needed to dry. Two days later, nothing. I called, and he told me his guys said they were done. Nope. He apologized and had them finish. They did a fair job at best. Dry wall mud was not sanded down. Corner bead half showing. They covered up the electrical. When I called him and said there was something wrong, he got angry and told me he could not keep sending guys out. I told him it was not my fault; they leave when they are not finished. He drove over, I showed him, and he tells me they still need to sand down, so I say, Why tell me you cannot send them over if it is still not done? He starts yelling in MY house about how he is losing money on my job. I asked, and I said even if I calculate you paying your guys at the higher end, you still profit $1100+. He yells, tells me we are done, and leaves. Tells my fiancé and drives off. Very unprofessional, and now I have to pay another contractor to clean up his mess.

    HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities.
  10. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup)
    We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
