Reviews
Write a ReviewIt was refreshing to work with Jimmy and his crew. They created a plan, had creative suggestions, did exceptional work and finished the job on time and on budget. I recommend them highly!
Jimmy and his crew did an amazing job on two bathrooms in our prewar building apartment. Down to the studs and even installed a clawfoot tub. They were very professional and completed the job in three weeks! Clean and tidy like nothing ever happened! I would highly recommend!
Is very passionate and professional about their job, he made me saved a lot of money with what he suggested.
I have used Egnatia Construction 3 times since 2015 to repair my bathroom, kitchen and replace my floors. In all instances Egnatia Construction showed up on time, cleaned up, the job was completed within the timeline they promised. I highly recommend Egnatia Construction for any addition or remodel.
To have a bathroom remodeling done during a pandemic is a hallenging situation but Egnatia Construction made it a very smooth process for my family. They used all the necessary equipment to protect our property and us during the renovation. We are getting ready to renovate our kitchen and we have made the decision to work again with Egnatia Construction. We have created a friendship with Jimmy and his team. We highly recommend this company.
Disappointed is not strong enough a word to describe our experience. Initially we were sold on Egnatia, with five and a few four stars, all of them giving them high marks for nice guys, good work and a fair price. Now, looking at the reviews, we see they started to go south right after we contacted them in August 2014. When we met with Jimmy and Amit, they were friendly and articulate and after our first meeting, drew up a detailed contract with specs, which we went over a second time in person to clarify details. This was a large job, two floors of our brownstone, and everything we wanted done we itemized in the contract. No problem. They also made smart suggestions we agreed to that gave us the impression they knew what they were doing. We thought they were more than clear on our job requirements. The job started out well enough, but quickly things moved downhill. We found ourselves having to constantly inspect work to see if it was complete, as there was an ever increasing list of missed details: furniture and possessions not covered before starting work, holes not patched, unpainted sections, painting over staples and screws, damaging brand new ceiling tiles they had installed themselves and items on the original checklist that were being ignored. There were ever growing gaps in the quality of the work as the job dragged on. There were numerous times we brought these issues to their employee's attention and we also sat down multiple times with Jimmy and Amit both together and separately. More than once they told us how their business is growing so fast and that, somehow, was supposed to be a comforting reason to us for these oversights and issues. The final straw was when they did our basement flooring. They say have a flooring guy. However, on the first attempt, the pattern did not match and the flooring was improperly installed with tape. When we pointed these issues out, they agreed to pull it up and start again with proper adhesive. The second time, the pattern ALMOST matched and we let it go, deciding that it was the basement and we could live with it. But after the flooring was actually installed, large sections had not adhered and seams did not lie flat, the flooring had gaps large enough that the cove moulding couldn't cover and was coming off in some places. After two years the bathroom floor that they installed is now falling apart, and I have to redo the bathroom. I feel their work is Substandard.
They principals are nice enough. They were responsive (email/text) and good about coming back to fix things. But bottom line, the actual work was mediocre. Big gaps in floor threshold and cabinet/back splash install was definitely less than average. But again, good guys. Just wish the principal was there onsite every time work was done.
I had an outdated kitchen from the 80's and was looking to change it so I called a couple of professional to come by to provide me with an estimate. Egnatia turned out to be the only professional company. They actually a 3D design of how my new kitchen would look along with the estimate. Before I signed a contract with them, I met them at their showroom to finalize the kitchen. I am a very detail oriented person and I could find anything to complain about. I am actually talking to them now to remodel my bathroom as well. I was very impressed with their work and would highly recommend them.
ME AND MY WIFE MET WITH 3 DIFFERENT CONTRACTORS AND EGNATIA CONSTRUCTION WAS BY FAR THE MOST PROFESSIONAL AND AFFORDABLE. THE GUYS WERE ALWAYS ON TIME AND CLEANED THE JOBSITE BEFORE THEY LEFT EVERYDAY. THE FINISHED THE PROJECT ON TIME AND ON BUDGET AS WE WERE AFRAID THAT THEY MIGHT CHARGE US MORE AFTER STARTING, BUT THEY DIDN'T ASK FOR A PENNY MORE. WE HIRED THEM TO DO A TOTAL RENOVATION OF OUR HOUSE. I AM VERY GLAD WE HIRED THEM AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO GIVE THEM A SHOT. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING EGNATIA FOR MAKING MY HOME LOOK A MILLION DOLLARS.
Talented but too caught up in mind games.
