Designer Framing

Chris was quick to respond to my need and prompt to review the property and give me invoice. I have hired him to do other work for me.

I wanted let you know that I did hire Designer Framing. I will not hire him again for anything. He was to install 2 doors, only put one in. It was my fault I did not specify a 36 in. door - he put in a 32 in.door. I bought a 36 in. door and will need to enlarge the opening he closed in. He redid the vinyl siding up near the roof line of the porch - it is in worse shape than it was before. I asked about the old door that he did not replace - it was not square to the frame. He told me it could not be squared up. I went a bought another 36 in. door. My husband and I were able to install it in about 45 minutes and it is square. I have had to purchase 2 doors. I hired this company to save time for me. I am going back and correcting his work. When my husband was there the first day, he saw there were springs to attach to the door to pull it back. The springs are no where to be found. He did not fill in a triangular shaped area after telling my husband it would be done. Unfortunately, my husband could not be on the first day. I was there on the second day and did not know about the springs or the area to be repaired. I did get two other quotes from him for the front porch and demo a shed. I am so very happy I did not hire him. I will not ever hire him or recommend him.

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY This was a Bait and Switch all the way. Owner of the company, Chris Westfall, sent us beautiful pictures of decks he claims to have built. Without our knowledge or approval he hired two outsiders to build the deck; one of whom could barely walk. The deck that was built had so many problems, structurally and cosmetically. After letting Chris know how disappointed we were in the deck, he came out to see it. He apologized thoroughly and said he was highly embarrassed about the quality of the job that was done. He was very nice and agreed to fix all the issues. A few days later he came out to fix everything. He fixed a couple things but created even more problems. Under the deck, there were 73 nails that were nailed into thin air, instead of the boards they were supposed to be nailed into. There are 57 spindles that are not level. One side of the staircase comes out 5 inches farther than the other side of the staircase. He used two previously cut boards and put them side by side to create the un-level 10-foot top-cap. We hired a local, experienced contractor to inspect the deck to see if it was even safe. We were told to tear the deck down and start over. They said the wrong size hangers were used, the bolts that were used were not for treated lumber, and the holes that were dug for the footers of the deck were not dug deep enough to support the deck when I asked Chris to see the building permit, he tried to say that he told us to get a permit and that he leaves that up to the homeowners. Really?! In the review left 6-03-2018 the client specifically stated the permit was included in the estimate. He also tried to charge us for trash removal of the deck that is still sitting on our property, and he sent us a fictitious bill signed by Mr. McLean from another company. Six days after the deck was finished Chris and his brother, who both sounded inebriated, started harassing us through texts and phone calls because they had not received payment for this embarrassing eyesore attached to our house. When they said they would come to our property and tear the deck down themselves, we called the Sheriff. The Sheriff came out and we filed a complaint. Before the Sheriff left he was curious to see what the deck looked like upon inspection of the deck, the Sheriff laughed and said, I could have done a better job. I would not pay these guys a dime. Let em take you to court. That is what we did. We ended up with a shoddy lawyer and settled out of court but Chris got paid just under half of what he sued us for. I encourage everyone that is looking to hire Designer Framing to take a look at the bad reviews posted on 05-07-2019, 5-21-2018 and 10-19-2018.

I needed a privacy fence installed in the back of my property quick. I had a few other companies give an estimate, and thought i narrowed it down. Got a call from Chris, and told him what I was looking. He came out the same day and looked at the project and gave me an estimate, that was much lower than the company i was going to select. He worked with my schedule, and even had the fence installed without me taking off from work. The fence itself is just what i was looking for, the quality of the materials and the installation is unsurpassed. I'll use Designer Framing for my next project. Also, customer service is excellent. Great work, competitive prices and excellent service, can't go wrong.

After having numerous people come out to give us an estimate to build a deck we decided to go with Chris. The best decision ever. They are very easy to work with (we even made changes during construction process). He would get back to us right away with questions we had. I would highly recommend these Guys! ! High quality work at a reasonable price.
