I highly recommend Curtis Ventures for anyone looking to build a new home in Northern Virginia or Washington DC. Owner Cindy Kacher is the kind of General Contractor who is responsive, timely, and trustworthy. She is personally involved in the entire process and her reliable, talented team of subcontractors are exceptional in their given trades.

I hired Cindy initially to find a leak that plumbers and others could not find. As we searched for the leak, which turned out to be the washer just starting itself, I decided not only to repair the damage done by the leak to the ceilings and floors but to replace my floor and install a "hidden" door. Cindy and her crew jumped to the task. The floor I had installed was similar to that found on a yacht--mahogany and holly and not seen in many homes. And, of course, the door. We wrote up a budget, and Cindy gave me a quote. The work was under budget and excellently done. Cindy maintains a stable of competent workers who know what they are doing and every day cleaned up after the workday concluded. I would not hesitate to use Cindy and her crew again for ANY type of job. Franky, I look forward to working with her on other projects I am considering. In short, you can't go wrong.

Cindy is the owner/founder/GC builder for Curtis Ventures and we met her through a spec home she built. What stood out from her built home was the quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail, absolute genuine care and we could tell a vested interest. She was responsive, picked up on what we wanted without question, has fantastic connections around Arlington County to get permits on time and inspections done.Her team of subcontractors are top-notch from landscapers to masons to electricians to the carpenters to tile guys and lighting specialists-- everything. It made everything go so smooth and so quick. We just moved in about a month ago. Cindy herself is on-site every day for the job which is unusual. She is not spread thin like most builders and works at the same time and makes sure everything is taken care of. How she treats her subcontractors is outstanding, for example she established a Friday tradition where she provides food, lunch, and treats for her team and everyone else on site -- makes a big difference in a detail job from top to bottom. She was here at 7 am and didn't leave until the last contractor left every day.
