Collegiate Pools

Reached out for help opening my families pool through a Facebook group. Collegiate Pools responded and was very friendly and professional in their approach. I spoke with the owner Stephanie and she fully explained all their services and costs. We ultimately decided to go with their company over several others that offered to help and we are glad we did. We will definitely be repeat customers.

I was very hopeful for this service. Red flag #1- On the evening of the third 3rd visit- I noticed the pool water was pumping slowly. I opened the pool filter- it was full. There was no bad weather that day to cause that. I was pretty disappointed especially since cleaning the filter is always step 1 in the pool cleaning process. Later, I noticed some algae lines in the pool. On the evening of a pool cleaning I came home from work to find the algae marks were still there. Thos told me that the pool wasn't being brushed- again, another basic yet critical step in a cleaning a pool. Then the last straw was when after a pool cleaning- my pool still had a green tint in the water and more algae (see attached). So I tested it. I was shocked to see that the pool had hardly any chemicals in it at all. I checked my invoices and I was charged for chemicals. But the invoices proved my suspension- during all of cleanings the only chemicals the pool was getting was 1 or 2 bags of shock.

I have used them for the last five years when they showed up they would do a good job, but there were times when they were late and when they were not coming, I had to call them but when they did show up, they did a good job your choice is yours.

I'm going to leave this up for one day in hopes of getting them to actually return a phone call. I have texted and I have called multiple times over the last couple of weeks to know avail. We have been using them for 3 years and now all the sudden can't get anyone to give me a call so I will hold back on my actual review for 24 hours. If I do not hear from them within 24 hours I will leave my full review. Update as of 04/30/2026 They would not return calls they would not return texts they would lie to me and tell me they were going to work on my 80-year-old mother's house. Text and phone calls would go and answered until I finally texted and said should I come knock on the door of your business so I can actually get an answer and talk to someone.... then William, the husband and the one that does most of the work called me cussed me out threatened to beat me up and 100% of the day is long called me a d**k sucker. If this is the kind of company that you want to take care of your pool and take advantage of your elderly family members then by all means.... I was quite flabbergasted but I told him well it's nice that the truth has come out and that's how you really feel because he couldn't really say anything when we were paying him thousands of dollars to take care of my mother's pool opening and closing and maintenance. Until they knew we had a ring camera they would bill us for work not done.

Job well done. I was very surprised that on 2 occasions I was not home when they arrived and they cleaned the pool anyway instead of canceling my appointment. The entire team is amazing
