Reviews
Write a ReviewThe crew was very professional. The deck was built on time and as promised with several helpful additions along the way. It was a great addition to our home.
Casey and his team are excellent to work with. Excellent communication and craftsmanship.
While the project had several changes on our part. Caseys ability to communicate dates and status was not timely if at all. The staining portion of the project remains undone and have not heard hide nor hare from Casey. The staining was quoted as separate item but not hearing a thing after the screening project was paid in full is obviously unacceptable. Even if he chose not to facilitate a third party for the staining, at least let me know. He always seemed to busy to care about this job.
Pressure treated wood needs to dry prior to first wash, staining, and sealing. I can be reached 24hrs a day by my cell phone or email. The staining Ans sealing is not part of the physical job. I was paid and I put K Peterson on my stain-seal list. We have not been doing much staining and sealing in the last few months due to significant rain throughout. We are very backed up in the exterior house painting and staining and sealing. By the way the actual job was perfectly finish off. I have not been paid anything for the stain and seal process. THEY PAY AFTER IT IS DONE.
Casey did an excellent job and the design and quality of the deck was the key selling point when we sold our home. He is an honest businessman and has solid ideas on what improves the home. We had one little issue and he fixed the day we discussed it. Our job was completed early and on quote.
Excellent quality
Has not corrected the problem identified.
I had to look this one up. This was a job for a 4 x 4 landing and a staircase added to the existing deck There is no problem. The staircase runs perfectly flush with the old deck so you couldn't put a traditional handrail down that side. We filled in the gap with a reversed rail setup so the balusters were on the inside. He liked it and days later changed his mind. I guess I need to send my guy out there. First I noticed this. Guy paid me with a smile. Let see when I fix it if he changes this rating.
On time. Polite excellent work.
Casey was wonderful to work with, we are so excited about our new porch and front porch rails. He and his crew were very friendly and easy to work with. They started the project when they said they would. Iâ ll be using them again. Rodney
Casey and his crew were great to work with. There was ample communication on everything from design to execution to clean up. I will hire them again.
Casey and his crews came in and did: a complete deck replacement, installed a new electrical box, placed fencing and gates (wood and chainlink), painted the house, and stained the new deck and fencing. Overall, the projects turned out good. He was able to work with us through several changes during the project - while we added and modified a couple of minor things. However, there were a couple of glaring issues that left something to be desired. The main issue was communication. Casey said that he would be there on-site through the process. He was only on-site a few times, and most of the time only when there were issues that we brought to his attention. There were a couple of times where crews showed up unannounced and unscheduled! Casey seemed like it did not matter much when it was brought to his attention that this would not work because we have dogs that needed to be put up and can not do it last minute. Even after this was addressed, Casey would show up himself to our house without giving us notice. The only other issue we had was with the quality of the work. One of his crews came out to pressure wash the house, left trash in our flowerbeds, and did not complete the pressure wash on our metal roof correctly. However, he did send out a crew the next week to finish it up. The wood gates on the fencing and porch have several issues with shutting correctly, and one of the larger gates was not secured properly and almost fell on our daughter! All that being said, all of these issues were worked through and our project was finally complete. The main issue I had with Casey was his lack of customer service. Anytime an issue was brought to his attention he had a way of turning it back around on you, making it feel like it was something you had done or that it just should not be an issue. That was the most frustrating part of this whole process. At best he was nonchalant and at worst he was aggressive.
THE OCCASIONAL 3 STAR RATING: I am known for being the polar opposite of everything in the above statement --SEE OTHER reviews below. Disappointing review. The person writing the above review I have never met in person. We completed a huge covered porch in 4 days. ( 8 x 42.) We installed a wood fence in 2 more days. The customer desired to change wood fence to part chain-link in middle of job which caused a materials delivery delay. We finished it the next day. Gates as usual were as strong a hinged as every other job I have done in 25 years. Yes, my crew shows up every day until completed. I was not aware that the customer desired to be notified every morning that we would be there. I only notify if I am not going to be there when obviously expected, which would be every day until completed. I provided my electrician and saved them $500 as compared to their prior quoted panel box change. I made no profit on this item. It was done as a favor. I do not stand around all day and watch my master carpenter perform work we have done for decades and am confident of their work performance. Same work as always, very complex customer.
