Capital Carpentry Handyman - Unlicensed Contractor

I recently had Capital Carpentry come out to install a new front door lock, and I’m so glad I called them. Eugene was absolutely wonderful—very professional, friendly, and clearly knew what he was doing. He arrived right on time, took the time to explain things to me without any rush, and got the job done quickly and cleanly. These days it’s not easy to find people who are both skilled and genuinely trustworthy, but Eugene made me feel completely comfortable. The lock works perfectly and I feel much more secure in my home now. I wouldn’t hesitate to call Capital Carpentry again—they truly care about doing the job right.

I submitted a request around 10 AM for someone to come and build a chicken wire fence for me. They called ahead, let me know they were on their way, and they arrived super quickly. They stayed in touch the whole time, went out to get the materials, and got everything done really fast. The final result looks so much better than anything I could have done myself, and I’m extremely pleased. Eugene did a great job of placing a new door into an old, wonky frame in my home. He carefully cut in new hinges and double-checked that it all fitted together just right—no gaps, no sticking, just a smooth, solid finish. You can tell he prides himself on his work and doesn't cut corners. If you want it done once, Quality Home Renovation is the option to go for.

I am so glad I called Capital Carpentry! Eugene came out the very next day and finished my project so quickly. I was not expecting it to be such a quick fix! I can sincerely recommend Capital Carpentry for installing a new attic ladder. Evgeny (Eugene) was professional, polite, prompt and highly skilled. I called him on Fri (1-10-25) and scheduled a time for him to come by to quote the job. Together we went to buy and pick up the new ladder and set the removal/install appt for the next day, 1-11-25. He arrived early with his son, Michael, and by the end of the day my old, broken ladder was removed and my new aluminum ladder was installed. He had to make adjustments to the prior ceiling opening along with changes to the ladder length. By the time he finished I saw he had gone above and beyond by trimming out the ceiling opening to give his work his personal, professional touch. I will certainly use him again in the future. I ordered a customized wood board with hinges. The team came and picked out suitable wood with me, carefully took the measurements, and gave me exactly what I needed. They were also nice enough to fit my urgent request into their schedule. Overall it’s a great experience and I enjoyed working with Capital Carpentry!
