After I submitted the project, George called me within a few hours. He scheduled an appointment — an actual time, not a range — the next day and arrived on time. He reviewed the proposed work with me, pointing out various aspects of it that aligned with another proposed contractor. He then gave me an official written quote on the spot. It was lower than quotes, and it was for a definite amount, again, not a range. The foreman came by the next day to get the specifics so he could buy the necessary materials, and work commenced that afternoon. The project took three days, slightly under what they anticipated. The team arrived and left on time, and the areas were tidied up each time. They were also professional and friendly. Unfortunately, they discovered something that had not been done during the home’s original renovation, which George and Jim discussed with me. It was beyond what I wanted to do at the time, but we were able to settle on something that they thought would get the job done and I could agree to. They were excellent at explaining various aspects of the job like this, and I felt comfortable with their recommendations. They also accomplished additional two small tasks, one of which I mentioned I needed to do at a future date, and one that they observed. Both were done under the original agreement, which I appreciated. I definitely plan to use Louise August (a family business) for any projects that arise within their areas of expertise because it was a very good experience.

I feel they came in at an excellent price to quality ratio. It was not easy work they did and they did a great job they did not break the bank and the end result looked fantastic. I would use again.

The Louise August Home Improvement provided prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous service in response to my request for repair of a leak along the seam between my aluminum siding and the roof line. Because water was seeping into our dining room ceiling whenever it rained, we needed prompt, almost emergency service. Jim and George came within a day to assess the situation and returned the following day to complete the repair and to re-coat our flat roof that was showing signs of gradual failure. I highly recommend Louise August and would do business with them without hesitation.

I asked Louise August to address a leak in my roof. They charged me $12,000 to repoint the brick on one and half sides of my house. They pressured me to sign a onctract on the spot and started the work within the five day cancellation period. They worked two half days. When they were done I asked how the work they did would prevent the leak, and the owner insulted me and said I wanted something for nothing. Another company came and found a whole section of bricks they did not repoint. They are asking $4,000 to fix the leak I originally asked Louise August to fix.

The owners Jimmy and George are very professional always available came pass job every day. They did a stucco job and paint my detached home NW District of Columbia. Their workers Walter and Oscar are two skillful and efficient employees always on time worked all day polite finished the job in 7 days. I would highly recommend Louise August Company
