The technician that looked at our ACunit told me the compressor failed and either the compressor our unit would need replaced. We have home owner insurance so due to the cost we scheduled our homeowners insurance company to do the actual repairs. They found a start capacitor obviously failed ( a part that cost just a few dollars) so American Air Services charged about $90 for the service call and fixed nothing and would have charged us thousands of dollars to replace the AC unit or compressor. We are out of state or I would have fix the unit my self but I trusted the technician from American Air Service to correctly determine the cause and fix it. These capacitors are a common failure item and the technician from my home owner insurance company had one on his truck and fixed the unit in less than a half an hour.

Unethical, unprofessional, lied to me out of a large sum of money in which I have not received a refund.
Response from Company:
We got to the call as soon as possible. We were trying to get the motor that was diagnosed wrong and was not given adequate care to get the ECM Motor. Thecustomer stated he called multiple times but that was not the case, we had one call to our mainline and he did not leave a message. Also, the customer had the technician's phone number and the tech was never called. The next day after the original diagnosis customer call another company and had them fix the unit then stated they had one on their truck. We are processing the refund for the remaining balance and are sending it out.
