ARS called me in the morning and set up an appointment for annual A/C maintenance that same afternoon. Marco LaFuente-Aranibar was very personable, thorough and knowledgeable. He first did furnace maintenance, including replacing the UV bulb. However, as soon as he stepped outside to do the A/C maintenance he announced that he smelled natural gas! With his gas leak detector he identified a tiny leak at the gas shutoff valve. I could not smell gas myself but Marco has a terrific sniffer. He proceeded with the A/C maintenance which included replacing a large capacitor that was performing sub-par, while I phoned Washington Gas (who came shortly after and fixed the leak). Marco did a great job. (But the cost of replacement parts is a shock to the wallet.)

After having two complete HVAC units replaced, adding UV light sanitizers, and using them for non warranty service, they would not upgrade a technician recommended AC coil drain which should have been installed originally without an additional $200 charge (spent $30k on the services above). Since their in-house warranty expired, I will be using a more customer oriented company for service, repairs to all and replacement of my water heater later this year.
