Last autumn, the AC unit that cools our bedrooms upstairs had gone out, but at the time my husband assured me he'd handle it before summer came around again. Shortly afterward our marriage dissolved, and order gave way to chaos as a lengthy 6-month divorce ensued that consumed our family.
