Comment: I have a home with radiant heated floors, and radiant wall heaters in the upstairs bedrooms. Our hot water runs out quickly, and the upstairs radiant heaters are not working.
We have a Buderus Logano G124 boiler, with 3 Grundfos 115v pumps on the wall. The house was built in 2001 and it is the original system.
I had a boiler technician come out and take a look at everything. He said that our water pump for the upstairs radiant heat isn't working, so that needs to be replaced, but all the pumps are old so they should be replaced as well. Then he said that our Sparge tube (if I remember correctly) in our tank is out, causing the hot water to not last long. He said bare minimum we should replace the tank, but it's an old system overall so it would be crazy to replace the tank without just putting in a new boiler.
Looking for any information on this project; if the boiler is old enough it should be replaced, as well as cost to replace the water pumps, just the tank, and the entire boiler system.
