Electrical, Solar
"Project was done on time, good customer service, quality work. Michael was our electrician and he took care of several tasks for us - installed a chandelier in a 20 ft ceiling, installed two outside light fixtures, disconnected our old spa, and installed the electrical box and fixture for a front porch light. The latter task was much more of a challenge than expected due to the inexplicable presence of 6 stacked 2x4's in the wall right where the light was to be installed. Michael drilled through them to run the wire with minimal damage to the wall, and did a rough patch for us when he was done. And he still honored the original estimate even with the extra work. I'd definitely hire them again."

"Carson, the front-end man, was very helpful and gave us DIY tips, which we did. When those tasks were accomplished - and failed, we then hired Telelink to repair our internal phone system. Baylor, the fix-it guy, was "johnny-on-the-spot," courteous, and efficient - a guy you feel you can trust to do a good job. Our gratitude for a job well done."

"When Gil stopped by to prepare me a quote I asked (requested) if my Tesla charging station could be moved and he asked me to provide photos and I did. He responded quickly and said "yeah I can place it there." Gil came on time in fact 30 minutes early. I can't say how much I am appreciative of his professionalism and willingness to accommodate me as a patron. I recommend this guy with no reservations and I hope anyone with a Tesla and looking for an electrician to install a charger at their resident that they look for Gil! Sir YOU ROCK!"

"I had Rich from Point Loma Electric add two new outlets to my garage. Rich called before arriving, kept me in the loop with everything he was doing and walked me through the completed project as well as my guarantees. Rich did an outstanding job and it looks great and is super clean. I plan on using Point Loma Electric for my next project. The price seemed a bit high (I did receive a Military discount) but I don't have a reference point because I chose this company because of their ratings and I firmly believe you get what you pay for."

Electricians do a fair amount of larger remodeling and new construction projects but also common residential projects including:
For cost information related to the above tasks, visit our Electrical Cost Guide.
A truly skilled, well-equipped professional with a truck full of parts that charges $100 an hour can be a much wiser choice than an inexperienced hack, working with inadequate tools and no parts, but charging much less. Often, more experienced professionals get the job done quickly with warrantied work.
2. Compare Travel ChargesRates reflect travel times. Travel charges can have a big impact on your costs and are in some ways easier to compare than hourly rates. Many electricians spend a third or more of their time navigating traffic on their way to a jobsite. Every contractor must find a way to pay for the expense of driving each day.
3. Bundle Repair Jobs TogetherWhen you feel it’s time to call a pro, review your list and then conduct a mini-inspection of your home. Look for faulty switches and dysfunctional or crowded outlets. When the electrician comes, you’ll save money and time by getting everything taken care of at once.
4. How to Prepare & What to Know Before the Electrician ArrivesChula Vista Electricians are rated 4.8 out of 5 based on 2530 reviews of 2530 pros.
