"Vilchez is more than just a landscaping company. I had some challenging work needed on my property and Jose and his team exceeded expectations on all counts. Pardon the long but impressive list: 1) completely rebuilt a crumbling 40-foot retaining rock wall along my driveway -looks fantastic 2) completely rebuilt a 60-70 foot deteriorated, curving retaining rock wall in my back yard that is literally holding back an angry steep hill, and cleaned up much of the stuff growing on it - again, beautiful work and it's a pleasure just looking at my new wall 3) re-pointed and re-sealed my chimney - I recently had some random leaks in the house during rain - just after the fix, it rained for a solid three days and 0 leaks! 4) removed a huge (9-10 ft) yew from the side yard and trimmed a monster rhododendron next to it (just as tall). The rhodo now looks like it belong in a painting. Ran out of room, so to conclude, Jose has very fair and reasonable rates and we have more work to do :)"

He also repaired the stucco that had cracked and fallen off two sides of my concrete foundation. The finished job looks beautiful and I'm very pleased. Robert and his co-worker were punctual and hardworking. Neither of the masons smoked, which was a plus for me. Everything was clean and swept up after they left. Strong Rock Masonry's price was lower than the other contractor who bid for the job. I recommend Strong Rock without reservation. "Father and son team with 2 other workers, father is mason with decades of experience. Their work on 2 walkways was spectacular. They used existing bluestones, put down a 3 inch concrete pad first, cemented bluestones in place, mortared joints. Then they lined the border with 4 inch wide stone (similar to cobblestones bitch cut flat). Truly an excellent job. I would hire them again, and strongly recommend them."

He has great communication and followup, he shared pictures as examples of his work and brought over sample patio stones to select. He let me know promptly when rain delayed the start date, and answered my questions about his plan. He moved a plant I wanted to keep, which showed good thoughtfulness. "Originally hired MJ Masonry to replace an existing railroad tie retaining wall and like most projects there was mission creep. I asked Michael of MJ Masonry if they were interested in taking on 2 additional projects: replacing an old stockade fence with a new one, and replacing a cement walkway with a stone walkway. We agreed on the price of the 2 additions and all projects were completed to the original schedule within 3 weeks of the start date. Details of the projects: 1. Retaining Stone Wall is over 130 linear feet 2. Stockade Fence is approximately 88 linear feet 3. Stone Walkway is approximately 63 square feet The workers lead by Jose are consummate professionals. They went above and beyond what is required to do their job. It was the little things like cleaning up after themselves and repairing annoyance type things that is not in the contract without being asked. At the end of the entire project, my wife and I were so pleased with MJ Masonry's work, we gave them a modest bonus. The icing on the cake was when some of our neighbors coming over and telling us the day after the projects completion that the Retaining Stone Wall, the Stockade Fence, and the Stone Walkway looks beautiful."

It took a couple a of days for the floor to dry, and a primer coating was applied, and then the last coating, I learned it is a Polymer. Anyway, the floor looks good and solid afterwards, we have been using it daily now, great job Tom."
