"Basement remodel. After researching and interviewing various contractors I decided to go with Home Improvements Done Right. I spoke with Daniel/owner regarding a remodel of my outdated 1960s basement/family room. (You know what I'm referring to- that ghastly shag carpet, the old wall paneling, the crappy ceiling, an old brick & mortar bar, etc. etc.) It would start with a complete gutting (and removal) of all the old crap, and then a modern update! Daniel was quite personable and presented a fair estimate for the entire project. The remodel included sheetrock to the walls (1/2") & ceiling (5/8"), laying a floating floor (two rooms), adding a large storage closet, molding, trim and paint. From start to finish the job lasted the predicted 2+ weeks. Most of the work was done by a two man crew (Cesar & Josue-both very reliable, polite and respectful). Daniel, though not always present was available anytime I called him. During the remodel process several options were presented (by Daniel or myself) to possibly enhance the outcome. Though I did anticipate additional expense with "incidentals" I may want, they do add up very quickly. (For example: I noticed there was no insulation behind the removed paneling so I wanted insulation added to the walls which had not been included in the original estimate.) NOTE: There will always be some type of issue that has to be addressed (meaning more expenditures) with a job this size, you can bet on it! This is NOT something derogatory directed at Home Improvements but you know something always comes up. Upon near completion (they had to return a couple of days later to add some trim which hadn't arrived yet-not their fault). Dan insisted that I withhold some of the payment until the job is completely finished. Overall, I'm very satisfied with entire project. It looks great! I have another smaller project in mind and I will definitely be calling Home Improvements (to get the job) Done Right."

"We are very happy with our decision to work with Majid (owner) and Bodee Construction to renovate our basement. Their professionalism, communication and service was outstanding throughout the entire project. Scope of Work: Full gut renovation of our basement which included a laundry room, a full bathroom and adding a wet bar. Pre-construction: My wife found Bodee online and decided to get an estimate from them based on their excellent web reviews. We got 4 estimates and Bodee came in second most expensive. However since Bodee's estimate was so thorough, we knew exactly what was included and not included. This is very important in that if an estimate is not thorough, you might find that as the project moves forward a lot of the work you thought was included, is not, leaving the customer to pay a lot more money down the road. We ended up choosing Bodee after meeting with Majid and basically going with our gut instincts that he was the guy we wanted to work with. The Work: A lot of GCs will wine and dine you until the contract is signed then disappear or barely show up once the work begins. Regardless of how good the work ends up being, this leaves an unsettling feeling and causes much anxiety for the customer during the duration of the work. With Bodee, you can be assured you are dealing with an owner who will show up almost every day and replies back to calls/texts within a reasonable amount of time. His crew generally arrived first thing in the morning and Majid would stop by sometime shortly after to instruct them and to answer any questions or concerns from us. His team cleaned up after themselves every single day and were very professional and courteous. Result: Majid gave us an estimate of 8-12 weeks and we were done on week 12. We are very pleased with the results. As a business owner who strives for excellence and expects the same from a vendor whom we are paying a lot of money to, I expect the same and my expectations were met. Without hesitation, we would recommend Majid and Bodee Construction to our family and friends."

"HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We just had a French drain installed along with a new sump pump and pit in our basement and had the floors epoxyed afterwards. The project manager, Kenny, was absolutely amazing. From the very beginning he explained everything that their team would be doing, gave me updates throughout the day. If I had a question or concern Kenny was patient with me and continued to make sure any questions/concerns were addressed, even telling me to call him if I thought of any other questions. Their crew was very respectful of the property by making sure to lay out tarps to protect the floors, and made all attempts to manage the noise since we were home. Whatever was left in the basement they made sure to cover and protect. And if something needed to be moved they moved it and moved it back. When it came time to lay down the epoxy there was a scheduling hiccup. Kenny though went out of his way to make it right by coming right after another job and staying late to make sure we're stayed on schedule since I was having out of town guests coming that weekend and needed access to the basement. Working with Select Basement, but especially Kenny, made this one of the best experiences and I highly recommend them. 10 out of 10!"
