"Frank was simply great! He was friendly, honest and easy to speak with. He gave me a quote after seeing my awning (I sent him a picture) and stuck with it. Then he came on the day he promised, collected the old canvas and came back to install the new one exactly one week later. Frank was easy on payment. Normally it is 50% at the beginning and 50% on closing but he just made me pay 100% on closing, which I did. The result is great!"

"Units are on order and have not yet been received/installed, so I cannot rate the finished, installed project at this time. The sample parts look good, the price is right, and Russell is very responsive and pro-active with follow-ups, etc."

"My parents and I hired Jeff Wilbanks to repair their home after filing a water damages claim through their insurance. I found his company on this Home Advisor site and reading through reviews. Jeff contacted me back very promptly and we discussed the needed repairs. Jeff was truly an answer to prayer after many months of having to struggle with the insurance claims process (Allstate is deplorable). We talked on multiple occasions to make sense of the insurance estimate and make selections to put my parents house back in order, and my parents were very pleased with him and his subs. They did an excellent job with insulation, drywall repair, new carpet, new LVT, painting, trim work, door replacement, toilet and faucet replacement, closet repair, and so much more that Iâ m sure Iâ m missing. He is very trustworthy and kind and I know he went above and beyond for our family. The house looks great and he did it quickly, considering the process with insurance outside of our control. Thank you Jeff! You have our highest recommendation and appreciation!"

HomeAdvisor makes it easy to connect with pros near you. You can read reviews, get quotes and book appointments all in one place.
Depending on the type of project, you may find subtle differences in the hiring process. Here’s a look at task-specific advice.
You can use HomeAdvisor to help evaluate a contractor’s qualifications. We put pros through a screening process, and award badges to high-performing contractors. You can find these badges on a pro’s HomeAdvisor profile, and sometimes, his or her website.
Your research doesn’t stop here. Once you’ve found a few prospective companies, make an call to ask a few questions about work history, licensure and more:
In most cases, the responses you get to these three questions will give you a very good idea of the right pro for your project. If you have more than one front-runner, these additional questions can help you narrow it down.
Any good contractor will answer these questions, and most will appreciate dealing with a client that takes such an active interest in finding good service. On the other hand, if a contractor gives you a hard time with these questions, you probably want to find someone else.
