Write a ReviewUC Fence left us with a quality white vinyl fence at a fair price, nicely installed, and resolved our very few problems professionally and relatively quickly. Our job consisted of replacing 250 linear feet of falling down wood fence with 3 adjoining neighbors, a somewhat tricky hardscape issue, and the need to contain high-jumping cats. Their Sales Manager, Eric Prien, did an admirable job coordinating things with our neighbors (even one we were having trouble getting on board) including getting their payments for their share of the job, and he also took good care of us throughout the process. His estimate was fair & quickly obtained and he followed up with us a number of times as we moved closer to starting the job. The installation crew was knowledgeable, friendly, capable, on time, and clean up was pretty good. UC Fence is fully insured for liability & W/C and have all the necessary licenses and bonding. As in life, not everything is perfect รข and this is especially true when hiring contractors to do a job you care about being done right. The key to considering UC Fence for your job is knowing that any issues WILL get resolved to your satisfaction, period. I couldn't recommend them more highly! Thanks for reading.
Paid deposit 5 months ago. Was told my fence would be up almost 2 months ago....still waiting. Hard to get a hold of someone in office. Lack of professionalism. Everyone says something different when I actually get to speak to someone. Beyond frustrated.
I had 5 other estimates before hiring them. They were the most accommodating when it came to what I wanted, not what they were trying to sell me. Professional and timely! Will use again!
very good
They did a great job, and made sure that we were completely happy with the project.
Eric, Juan and Desiree deserve a special mention. They are the very best people to work with. They are professional, knowledgeable and customer oriented. Thank you all!
We had our fence installed at the end of August 2018. We went in with a group of 6 or so immediate neighbors in our HOA, and UC Fence was chosen by the group since they had decent reviews and the lowest bid. I am writing this review because we had an overall bad experience with the company for a number of reasons, which I will list in chronological order, although #3 and #4 is what prompted me to write this review now. 1. After the fence in our yard was installed, the team left a bunch of trash in our yard (picture attached). We contacted Eric Prien and the trash was removed the following day. This was resolved satisfactorily, although it is still unprofessional to leave trash that is only removed when customers complain. 2. We examined our backyard after the fence was installed, and the workers had killed two of our fruit trees. One avocado tree was removed and completely discarded. One fig tree appeared to be pulled out of the ground along with its support post (picture attached). The fig tree was clearly marked as a fruit bearing tree, and it appeared the workers tried to hide the fact that they killed it by sticking it back into the ground although it was no longer attached to its roots. Both trees were located 1.5-2 feet away from the fence line. We believe this behavior was extremely unprofessional, as the men removed and killed our trees and even worse tried to hide it so we would did notice until it started to yellow after they were done with the job. We had extensive communication with Eric about the dead trees, and this was resolved by the company purchasing a fig and avocado tree as replacement. 3. In September/October we noticed that the end caps on the posts (not sure what they are actually called) were falling off. Four out of six posts on the right side of our backyard were found to have missing end caps. My husband says they should have been fixed to the posts with vinyl glue or some sort of adhesive. Clearly this was not done because almost all of the post end caps have fallen off on one side of the fence. My husband planned to glue them on himself, but some of the caps are lost now and may have blown into the neighbors yard or the street. 4. After a windy day, a large section of fence blew down (see pictures attached). The horizontal top bar was detached from the post and at least 4 panels of fence were blown over. This left a large gap between my backyard and our neighbors, and we were not able to let our dog into our backyard during this time. My husband replaced the panels himself, but thinks that the horizontal top beam was cut too short because it slips out of the post easily. This appears to be due to poor installation of the fence. No matter how windy it is, I would not expect fence panels to just fall down like that. This is completely unacceptable to me, and is what prompted me to write this review several months later. I was willing to overlook a lot of the other issues (end caps we can glue them o
