They received half payment from me in May. He told me my liner would be installed at the beginning of June. They are now not answering the phone not once and I still do not have a pool liner in July. Very poor customer service. Update: text out of the blue saying they were coming by to pump out pool. Next day had the old liner ripped out and new one put in. Quality, friendliness, and price are a 5 star. Customer service needs improvement.

UPDATE (7/13/22): They came and did the work shortly after I posted my initial review here. They worked some long days and finished the job quickly, but with practically perfect work. The pool is better than its ever been since we have owned the house. The whole crew was super friendly and great to work with, even giving me some helpful pool care tips for the future. In the end, I would recommend them, but it would be good if they would send a quick e-mail, text, or phone call with updates from time to time when they are unable to complete the work due to weather or other circumstances so customers would not have to wonder. Initial Review (6/10/22): I had a torn liner in the late summer of 2021. Pretty much either a contractor would not work with me, or could not put me on the schedule until spring. The Pool Guys were the lone exception. Small family business, great attitude during the quoting process, seems to have a lot of great pool experience. They worked with me well, helped guide me through the insurance claim, and promised to get the job done before winter to limit further damage from the leaking water. Never called, never e-mailed, just did not show up in the fall (I paid a very large deposit, so I was not happy about this). Ok, they told me upfront communication is not their forte, and I am a patient person. I am sure something happened and they could not get out to do the project. With this in mind, I decided to let it go until Spring. In March of 2022, I sent them an e-mail asking them to get on the schedule so I could plan when they were going to be doing the work. I received an e-mail response a couple of days later informing me that they begin liner installs in May. Since that time, I have sent multiple e-mails and left multiple voicemails with no response whatsoever. I am not really leaving a bad review type of person, so I have avoided this for as long as possible, but now we are well into June without any communication for a project that was promised to be done in September or October.

I appreciated it was a small family business practice and they were completely flexible during some emergency family needs.

I hired Ed to install a new liner for an inground pool. He came across as honest and sincere but once he got my $2000 down payment, it was difficult to get in touch with him. The last time I spoke with him he said there were six customers ahead of me and weather permitting my liner should be installed by the end of May. That was a month ago and I have not heard from him in spite of calling dozens of times and leaving numerous messages on his business and personal cell. Update: A couple days after I wrote this review, Ed contacted me. The next week he came out to install my liner. They did a good job. He installed a new pump for me, as well as a lot of additional work repairing some plumbing on the pool and did not charge me labor. He made sure my system was up and running before he left. Because of all this, I changed my initial rating of one star to three stars and changed recommendation with the caveat that they do good work but are not very responsive.

We called him repeatedly, he did not come when he said he would, took us 3 tries, gave us a bid, put down deposit, would take 3 weeks to get liner, one more week to install, it has been 5 weeks already, He called me on Friday that he did not get liner in yet, but could not tell me if he ordered. Going into the 6th week and he has half our money and no work done.

Response from Company:

Because of the pandemic, our manufacture is behind schedule. We install the liners as soon as they are received.

I hired The Pool Guys to put in a pool liner for me. Initially there was a bit of lack of communication however, my pool is now done and I LOVE IT! They did a great job and it is beautiful!
