Impressed that they were able to visit our home within 24 hours after the first winter storm on Cape Cod. Our kitchen faucet was not working and heat had turned off (likely due to sketchy electrical services those few days). Turned heat on, and appreciate. Recommendation was to drain the entire house (winterize), but seemed odd to me since four zones were working and the bathroom and washer/dryer room were both working, on the same pipe line. So we said no. Wife visited home two weeks after and diagnosed the problem correctly, the faucet was blocked with material. She took off the cap of the faucet, removed the screen filter, and water was running Been provided excuses why that was not checked by the plumber visiting our home. So, no, can't recommend. Battling now over the very very healthy bill for entering the home and turning the heat on for us.

Response from Company:

We find it unfortunate that after multiple detailed email responses, explanations of the service performed, offering you multiple times for a phone call appointment to which you did not respond to until a month later, and even offering assistance toward the bill as a courtesy, the decision was made to leave a misleading public review instead. The reality is this call took place during the most severe winter storm of the season, conditions with limited road access, multiple power interruptions, freezing temperatures, and a faucet that was barely dripping in one area of the home. Under those circumstances, concern for a potential freeze was absolutely reasonable and any responsible plumbing company would have treated it seriously to help prevent catastrophic damage to the property. Our technician did far more than simply ?push a button.? He accessed a heavily snow-covered property, had to make space for his truck to get off the road in the snow, located a buried hidden key under 2 feet of snow (which was extremely hard to find), trenched through the snow to get access into the home, restored heat, monitored the system to ensure it was operating properly, confirmed zones were responding, and prepared for winterization based on the original request and ongoing storm concerns. Went to the supply house to based on your original request to winterize with anti-freeze. Winterization was recommended strictly as a preventative measure due to repeated power outages and dangerous weather conditions across the cape and this being an unused second home? not because damage had necessarily already occurred. As already explained privately several times, isolated freezing within plumbing systems is extremely common, even when other fixtures remain functional. Given the conditions present during the visit, the diagnostic process and recommendations made were entirely reasonable and in good faith. While it is easy in hindsight to focus on the faucet aerator once weather conditions stabilized weeks later, diagnosing a potentially frozen home during an active winter storm is very different than removing a screen from a faucet after the fact. We have already dedicated significant time addressing these concerns directly and had offered assistance toward the invoice as a courtesy despite the circumstances. Due to the continued misrepresentation of the situation publicly after those efforts, we will not be providing any further adjustments and now consider this matter closed. We wish you the best moving forward as we will no longer be able to assist you.

They were able to assess and install my shower valve, connect the ice maker and water on my refrigerator during the initial visit. I woukd definitely recommend them for other plumbing services.

I thought the price for a sump pump replacement was very expensive for what I had done (2 men, 2hrs). They quoted the estimate and charged me $1,500.00. Home Advisor had emailed/quoted me a fixed price of approx. 600.00. I had asked to schedule when they could do the job and said they could do it that day, THIS WAS NOT A RUSH/EMERGENCY, but I gave the go ahead because I just wanted this project done. There was no drilling involved (in the well and the wall to drain out). They replaced the sump pump and installed a new drain pipe in the well and attached it to the existing drain in my cellar wall. The plumbers were courteous and explained everything thouroughly so that weighed in on my overall star rating. Thanks.

Make sure to ask what is included in the assessment. In my case the roof vent was not included and would be additional money.

Chris arrived on time and set to work to diagnose why my furnace wasn't working. He said that he wouldn't charge me if he couldn't fix it. He was able to bypass the wires and get my furnace going, but in the end, after 4 full hours of diagnostics, he figured out that it was a dead wire in the wall and I needed an electrician. He worked tirelessly to figure out my problem and I knew what had to be done when he left. However, he said he wouldn't charge me because he didn't fix it. That was unbelievable after he spent a half day on my problem. He gave me his personal cell phone number so that my electrician could call him in order to save him a lot of time on diagnostics. I called his office the next day and charged $150 on my credit card for his trouble. I don't know what the job would have cost, but it seemed fair to give Chris some money. I would recommend him in a heartbeat.

Chris was tremendous. Way above expectations. He was thorough informative, neat, and friendly and of course, fixed the problem. Nancy was great at scheduling and I can not imagine hiring any one else.
