Because of the high demand for Generac Generators the lead time is at least 4 weeks. To date I have not heard when the delivery time will be.
Response from Company:
We apologies for the delay, as we have been informing our clients, Generac Model 5837 units on backorder. Generac has a very large backorder on these popular units and are doing their best to catch up. As of Friday March 2 Your unit is # 44 out of 89 on our order list. This places the unit for delivery toward the end of March. If you need a unit before this date we have 8kW units out only 2 weeks. Once again thank you for your patience.

We apologies for keeping you waiting but do to the recent storms most of our suppliers have back ordered the equipment until mid December. We are doing our very best to locate equipment from other sources and will start the install as soon as parts are available.

They installed a Reliance transfer switch for me so that I can run most of the circuits in my house from a portable generator. No more blackouts for us. They were on-time, on-budget, professional, friendly, honest and knowledgeable. I will call them for any future electrical work needs.
