Write a ReviewAfter Hurricane Helene, they came and cleaned up all of our downed trees. Did and outstanding job.
At this moment I am still awaiting a return call that I was told I would get over a week ago. I was informed that a part would be delivered last Monday that still has not arrived. I sent message and photos and videos that there is an issue still with what was installed. Still no return call or message. When they left my property, the work was not completed and could have caused injury to my daughter if she did not have a quick-thinking friend with her that saved her from falling. (The ladder was NOT attached to the pool and fell apart when she attempted to enter the pool, parts were left unattached in several areas of installation) I won't be happy until they correct what was done incorrectly and finish the work.
Transparent project plan & cost.
I highly recommend this company! Excellent work and attention to all aspects of the project. They went above and beyond. Phone calls were always either taken when called or responded to in a timely manner. They were very careful when working around the horses as well. Did extra projects outside of the original scope of work and followed up on delivery of additional stones without even needing to be called. Again I highly recommend this company and look forward to their services for all of our home improvement needs.
They agreed to resolve our black mold issue as they had to demolish our downstairs kitchen on the side where the kitchen sink was, the downstairs bathroom, and demolish part of the upstairs bathroom as these areas where the locations of water leak and black mold. In the process of their demolition, we lost our Granite Kitchen countertop, our kitchen cabinets, both the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms, and our dishwasher. After they were done, we lost use of the upstairs and downstairs bathrooms which were unusable for about a week or two. They also agreed to build those areas back up and do a full kitchen remodel as we decided we needed to replace the other side of the kitchen too. The first issue we had with them was losing the Granite countertop as I believed they broke it during the process, possibly on the first day on 12/4/2023. When the contractor was asked about the granite countertop, they deflected the question to say it was broken before they removed it, there were no signs of the granite being broken before they came to do their demolition, and they were not responsible for it being broken. However, they did say that the granite kitchen counter was not that bad and could be fixed. The next issue we had was about a week after the contractor had started, exact date not recalled, they said that they wanted us to order kitchen cabinets from Forever Mark Cabinetry and we should select our favorite color door. The contractor went on to say that we could customize the kitchen cabinets, but we had to decide which ones we wanted first. The contractor then said that the kitchen cabinets could be altered now that we choice the ones we wanted after they were ordered. The contractor then said they needed to charge for some of the labor already performed and said he would need $5000 for now. The contractor stated that the cabinets would cost about $2000 to maybe $2,500 but the exact amount given from the contractor is not recalled. We asked him to order another set of cabinets for the other side which brought the amount paid to them to $8,300 as stated on my credit card report. The contractor then stated after they received the money from us that the kitchen cabinets could not be customized, which came as a surprise to us. We asked him to cancel the order as we wanted customized cabinets. We never received an invoice showing us the cost, proof of whether the contractor even ordered, and never received these kitchen cabinets he said he ordered from Forever Mark Cabinetry. Forever Mark Cabinetry (https://forevermarkcabinetry.com). It says on the website it is located at 1130 King Georges Post Rd, Edison, NJ 08837 number on google is (732) 661-1700 but no number listed on company website. Called the number on 12/26/2023 but not in service. Also made request for response on their website for any kitchen cabinet order through them on 12/26/2023. No email response from them as time of writing this report on 12/28/2023.
