Before I start, I want to be fair and say that it was really cold the day the company scheduled for me for service. The vendor did not knock to let me know they were here. They just started. When I say started, they pulled one cover off and left their drill, and went and set in their van. The issue I was having with heating was related to key settings, which I could not get to as most hot tub companies will not sell or provide you with a manual. They took about 3o minutes and cut out a few spots of insulation to look for a leak we had called on, then said they were going to have to schedule an come back. They said that it would probably be about $800 (without actually doing much). They asked me if I was happy with my year and a half old tub and said we may just want to have them come in with a new tub. I told them I only had it a short while. It is a small tub we paid $5,500 and I do not want to buy a new tub after a year and a half. I think they really only spent about 45 minutes working on my issue. They charge $115 an hour I believe he said. He charged me $172.50, and they never did find the leak. I am sure they are fine with repairs and tubs near their home base, but they advertise they do work all the way over to Lancaster. They seem to be happy doing basic repairs (pool liners, opening and closing of pools and spas, and moving of tubs.), for more significant work I would not recommend. Also, I think they are expensive for the work that was performed.
Response from Company:
I'm sorry for your disappointment, but if you have a full foam spa it is going to take time to find leaks sometimes. The technician only made you aware of that. He did not charge you that time. We charge a fair price for work performed, and inform customers before an expensive job is done. It could be less but at least you are aware of what it could cost. And I believe the heating issue was resolved and you were advised of the next step.

The responded fairly quickly and fixed up our pool within the day. They will even be completely redoing our liner soon.

They were more than willing to answer any questions I had. Very respectful. I have no knowledge of pools and they explained everything they were doing and why. I wasn't sure if the price was fair or not since I have no idea what this kind of service costs.
