How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because we saw that service and maintenance are no longer the priority. This is a big problem! A lot of homeowners are not educated on how important something as easy as changing the filter or keeping the condenser clean really is and how doing these things could keep their equipment running more efficiently and increase longevity. We have worked for the “companies” that have put service and maintenance on the back burner until we just could not take it anymore. That is how SoCal Climate Control was born. Dedication to the customer, dedication to proper installations that are up to date with the technology currently on the market, and dedication to service and maintenance..

I had to make many calls to so cal climate control to get them to come back to finish the job. They have a lot of work and not enough workers to finish the jobs they get. I should have gone with Bergusons heating and ac. Hopefully, you do not have a bad experience like mine.

Install a Central Air Conditioning System

Very poor customer service. We have already paid for installation and they have canceled appointments on us twice, last minute with zero follow up. On top of that, they are now trying to charge extra to come out to complete the installation. It has been an absolute nightmare working with this company. If you hire them, you will be dealing with a call center and incompetent reps and technicians. And they emphasize how busy they are. Be prepared to not feel like a valued customer. I have two more jobs that I need to be done but I would never hire this company again.

Fernando and Angel were on time and were very professional. They gave me options without pushing the more expensive choice. Spent over a hour finging the right part without increasing the labor costs. Highly recommend them. Will be using them for annual heating and A/C checkups.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
