I'm the owner AND the operator. I actually do the work of completing your project to your satisfaction. I've been a local Family-owned business for over 20 years. Every year, I complete dozens of projects for local utility companies like PUD and PSE, as well as numerous municipalities in Snohomish and King counties. And of course, I complete hundreds of projects every year for homeowners, builders, property managers, parks, HOA's etc. I always begin by asking what you intend to do in the area after stump grinding. Robert's service was fantastic! The stump from a newly fallen tree straddled our property line and he was able to listen to both our inputs and give us a reasonable bid. The stump was on a slope and needed excavating as well as grinding. Robert cleared the stump, filled the hole with the wood chips and gave additional advice on the care of the slope and tree near the excavated hole. I highly recommend him!

We had a huge stump in the center of our lawn with big thick "octopus like" roots rising up all along the lawn! Robert from Sno-King Stump Grinding knew what he was doing and did a very thorough job of removing all of the stump and roots! Very pleased with results!

Robert was wonderful. He was the first to respond to my inquiry to have a cluster of large roots removed. He came by same day to give a quote. When I ask about scheduling, he said he could complete the job that day. His price was incredibly reasonable. Much to my delight, in a little over an hour, the entire root system had been obliterated. He took care to put up barriers to keep the spray from the project contained. I highly recommend Robert!

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
