The estimate that I received was $1000 to $1100. After the move, I was presented with a bill for $1,800!!! When I told the mover that I had not expected to pay this much, he dialed his boss number. The boss did the original estimate btw. He explained he just had knee surgery and could not be there but the original estimate was just an estimate. He asked me to split the difference at $1,500, which I did just to make this go away. MERRY CHRISTMAS, Smooth Moves. Never again!! It was not the movers fault, they were prompt and very nice. Terrible management.
The price was just right. The men were very pleasant to work with and asked for directions on where to move items. They setup furniture in places and moved it around to adjust for me. Even hooked up my washer and dryer. Very pleasant to work with and would hire again.

everything went well
The movers broke a shelf. They chipped the frame of my most expensive picture for my living room. They scratched my kitchen table. They scratched several pieces of furniture Th bent my roller holder on my generator. I was very disappointed. They did not price the job correctly. It was twice what I thought.
Customer's concerns were addressed in person to person phone call. Phone call ended with company's request for estimates of perceived damage by our company. To date, no further communication has been received. Estimate was based on customer's own itemized list of contents. Estimates are not quotes. The final moving bill was approximately $300 higher than the estimate provided to customer, due to customer's omission of contents from customer's itemized list.
