Semper Solaris Battery Installation Review I hired Semper Solaris to design and install a battery system tailored to my home?s needs, and I provided them with all necessary data upfront. Unfortunately, their proposed solution was not engineered appropriately and failed to meet expectations (I found out afterwards, since I am a Radio/Radar engineer, not a solar power engineer). The installation designers wanted to place the batteries in an unsuitable/ridiculous location and used a system that unnecessarily rewired my power panels, creating significant electrical complications. (As an electrical engineer, I recognized these choices as poor practice). After installation, I had to resolve account and software issues directly with Tesla, only to learn that the system had been improperly sized. Semper Solaris did not deliver the professional expertise I relied on.

Work with literally anyone else. I engaged Semper to install batteries and hook up existing solar panels I already had on my roof. This took them 2.5 years. I spoke to literally 30+ people over the course of the project, none of whom had any idea what was going on at any point. They failed inspection 3x. They installed a safety bollard in the middle of my garage turning it into a 1-car garage which obviously does not work. The cherry on top was that they reviewed my account and attributed this disaster to regulatory complications when for instance my project languished in their design review for 6-wks while we underwent utility blackouts during fire season and my children took freezing cold showers. These guys are clowns and one of the biggest time-sucks of my adult experience. Use their competitors.

I met with many companies before Semper Solaris. I went with them because they were able to do the roof and solar. And they provided all documents to me before starting the project. My consultant was Raedene Solano . Everything was upfront about the system, financing, etc. She did an awesome job helping me understand and representing Semper Solaris. I selected Semper Solaris because it is run by ex-military. The installation went smoothly and they were finished the same day. This was part of a solar installation. The old roof was removed and damaged wood replaced were needed and a new roof was then installed. In addition the roof on a separate detached garage was also done, an aluminum old patio roof was also removed.

Rhami & John Renteria and the shadow crew at Semper Solaris were quick, professional and knowledgeable regarding the new installation of solar power for us. They did what they said they would, performed the work on time and even scheduled us sooner than the original date. We highly recommend getting a quote from this company and letting Rhami and crew perform the magic of solar.

Semper solaris is everything a solar company is supposed to be, I called Genevieve Johnson (Energy Consultant), 6 months after our solar was installed, for advise on SDGE tier program. She was more then willing to help me. Their service from the beginning to the present is outstanding.

After getting other quotes, we went with Semper Solaris. The solar panels from Sun Power are made in the US and have a better efficiency rating than most meaning you will need less solar panels to generate the same amount of power. Also, the equipment to connect to your electric company is US made and has a better warranty than most. Do your research before buying non US low efficiency solar panels and non US connection equipment. The installation crew was very professional and materials used are top quality. I was emailed with progress reports on a regular basis. Communication with Semper Solaris was fast and responsive. The web interface is easy to use and reports solar production on a daily and monthly basis. Any issues we have had have been resolved in a timely and professional fashion. I would definitely use Semper Solaris again!

I checked out other customer reviews of other solar companies as well as service provider comparison rankings for 2017. It was not necessary. Semper Solaris' company name and values resonated customer satisfaction, quality, honesty, business ethics, and integrity. Hayden visited our home and thoroughly explained the process. I was even given cell numbers of the team responsible for my home project...not many businesses do that. I would also like to give Laura Vargas much kudos. She constantly kept in touch with me, kept me informed, and ensure all my questions were answered. I also referred a friend. It was determined that my friend would not benefit from solar at this time - talk about business ethics! I would hope other companies would do the same but I'm sure there are some who would pressure the consumer. Semper Solaris, although a relatively new company, has a solid business model and, in my book, is an industry leader. I would use them again if I had to do it all over.
