"This company is run by a husband and wife team. Randy and Madeline have been servicing my pool for several years. They ate alway happy, polite, courteous and professional. They truly want the pool to look nice and be well maintained. Madeline always brings treats for the pets including dogs, cats, horses and goats. She even gives treats to the neighbors dogs. Needless to the pets are always happy to see them and they don't put up a fuss. When I had surgery last year they came over and helped me prepare my house for my convenience. A kindness which was greatly appreciated. They also helped me put up a retractable pool fence I needed done. I think the go the extra mile and you can count on them to care for your pool and go the extra mile. I highly recommend for any pool service or repair you might need."

During installation of pool filter pump, pool heater, spa filter pump and filter for my HOA, Buddy patiently answered all my questions and explained all his actions (I like details). "We had a re-do of our 30year old pool, new equipment, new lights installed, he remodeled a defunct pool cover pit that looked bad at the entry end of the pool, filed with concrete & brick nosing. He replaced all the tile with updated tiles. The Pentair equipment is so quiet you can hardly hear it running. A very fine job he did for us!!!"

I got several estimates and no company came with a higher recommendation and also had a fair estimate to completely remodel my spa. I first talked to Julie O. She came out to my job address and gave me an estimates, right away. Her estimate was sent to another department and they quickly got back to me. The estimate was thorough and very clear. Then when we decide on a start date, I got a very well explained schedule of the work to be performed. Dates and amounts owed was all there in black & white. Work started on time and I was there for every segment of work done. The man in charge Saul, was smart and very professional. That made me feel very comfortable. He explained to me he was there for me if I had any questions or concerns. After, everything went so smooth and on schedule. Each day, another group of specialists showed up with a Forman. Alberto came with 4 men to demo. The best crew of men who covered everything and took care of my property. Left my home just as clean as they found it. And that is a hard job, considering the demo that was done. Next day, Mario came for electrical work. I am so grateful to him for suggesting the light in my spa was not as good as the ones that are out now. LED and color. Thank you Mario! Sergio showed up with Hector. What expertise and quality workmanship in his field. His helper was again, a helpful and very thorough worker! I can't say enough about the great quality of employees at Gardner Outdoor pools. Today, Leo came out to plaster/pebble my spa. It looks amazing. They were cleaning up and leaving the job so amazing. "We researched and contacted about 7 major pool builders in the San Diego area. From among those businesses, Jim was among the most responsive. We were able to schedule our appointment promptly and Jim impressed us with his knowledge about pool building. We wanted a simple rectangular pool to match out midcentury modern house, but our backyard had a large slope. This made it difficult to place the pool in a way where if wouldn't stick above ground at the deep end. Jim from Southland Pools proposed an elegant solution with a raised patio and spa and steps leading down to the pool. In his proposal he also included a retaining wall to match the style of our house. He took care to listen to our vision and worked with us to make adjustments as the construction progressed and we requested changes to the patio layout. Our experience with other builders was that they would not be willing to help us build the patio (only the pool) and none would tell us that our original design didn't work with our landscape. Jim was very polite but also let us know what parts of our vision wouldn't work technically and always offered an alternative solution. In fact, his knowledge of how pools are built was much more useful to us during the planning process than a sales pitch from all the competitors. Jim's offer also was the most competitive, including the patio work and upgrades (i.e., lights, salt, pebble, auto refill). Once our permits were secured (~ 2 months for us in SD County expect costs not included in contract), work progressed rapidly with Jim overseeing each stage in person. Jim's workers and sub-contractors were professional and highly skilled. The quality of work was excellent, and we are very happy with a beautiful new pool matching the mid century modern style of our home."
