Thomas did an amazing job installing my floors.

We recently had an unfortunate water issue in our Chicago condo which led to damage of the drywall and flooring. After mitigation, we had to install new flooring in the entire condo. I had approached three vendors of flooring. Of these Leo Martinez of Floor coverings International was the first whom I sought a quotation from. I was impressed with Leo. He is soft spoken, professional, and could be trusted with this talk. He computed a cost and gave the details of what is the best strategy. He provided a good and competitive price and his manager Thomas put us past the finish line. Throughout the project, Leo was prompt in replying to my text messages, and emails on the details of installation, sound characteristics, etc. Both Leo and Tom were prompt and professional. Mike was our installer. He is a super guy with care and quality. He did a great job installing the flooring, and we left our condo and belongings in his control and stayed in Champaign for him to complete the job. Mike is friendly and did the installation per promised schedule. We are very happy with his work. Overall, all three are very nice individuals and helpful in the whole duration of the project. We highly recommend the company.

We just recarpeted our primary bedroom and are very happy with the result. Our designer, Leo, was very easy to work with and helped us find exactly what we wanted. The installers were prompt and efficient and cleaned up beautifully afterward. We highly recommend Floor Coverings International!

FCI downtown helped me out with a clients project for a hardwood buff and varnish. They were professional and completed the work in a timely manner.

Mostly good on the install, No help on outstanding issues. In late 2024, the team installed beautiful flooring for me. However, in less than 6 months one of the planks was damaged. I believe it was installed incorrectly. It took me nearly 6 more months to finally reach someone who could help. In February 2026, the team did a repair, which was quite costly, but I was willing to pay to resolve the issue. However, just two months later, in April 2026, the repair did not hold up. I have tried to be in contact with them regarding my issue, but I am not getting any response via email, phone, or text. I saw a similar post here challenges working out issues related to their install. It is clear to me that the team has a lot of demand in the city, and can get by doing a mostly-good job on the install.

Oscar and the crew were nothing less than incredible. Professional, careful and couldn't be more helpful. They worked with precision and finished the job quickly. They wouldn't leave until they were sure everything was back in its place and I was satisfied. I can highly recommend this company and especially this crew. Thank you!

Smaller Job in elevator at our building and they did a great job getting it done quickly and efficiently. The entire business is run efficiently and they respond very quickly. Would recommend in the future.
