Reviews
Write a ReviewWe have been very pleased with Oklahoma Waterscapes. We had a pool put in this season. The cost was lower than other pool installers we looked at. The schedule was in line with what they said. We didnâ t have any major negatives. Tim and Carlos were both very quick to respond to issues. I would hire Oklahoma Waterscapes again.
Our pool is amazing and turned out better than we had imagined. They were very accommodating when we wanted to change/move features around. Tim was upfront with the possibility of delays due to weather and scheduling. We did have a multi-month delay due to OKC implementing a new requirement for permitting in a flood zone. This was unexpected from all parties, but was resolved satisfactorily.
Oklahoma Waterscapes did a great job on the pool build. We ran into groundwater issues and they remedied that. The only issues I had were with the post build. The vacuum included with the build, the supply line was cut too short by the pool school guy and they never fixed it. The flagstone coping was delaminating and it took awhile to get the warranty work completed. Finally, some of the concrete is cracking around the pool and they told me the stamped concrete they poured was not covered under warranty. Overall I am happy with the build. The pool is beautiful and we love it. Was just a little unsatisfied with the service post build. I’d still recommend them for a pool build.
I waited about 6 months prior to writing this review, so I could fully reflect on the process, price and quality of the pool. As I reflect on my overall experience and satisfaction with my pool, I can honestly say Im happy I contracted with them and fully believe no other installer in Oklahoma would be able to install the quality of pool I received for the price. Tim was a great educator on the process and personally designed the layout for my backyard. After we completed our landscaping, everything tied together beautifully and I could not imagine how awesome the end result would be. Understand, installing a pool is stressful and expensive when all is said and done. I wanted to wait on this review, until after the dust settled and I could fully reflect upon the experiences, both good and bad. I was a somewhat demanding customer, in that I wanted numerous provisions made, during the process, which were well outside the original contract. Tim and Carlos were good sports about this and did their best to accommodate my needs to the best of their abilities. Whenever I had concerns, they would listen and work with me until an amicable resolution was achieved. Well, this wouldnt be a fair review, unless I included some pros and cons. My personal opinion is that when executing a complicated project, such as a pool, there will always be hurdles that need to be overcome. Pros: -Quality of this pool is exceptional and I believe the best in Oklahoma. Gunite is standard in Oklahoma; however, Tim and Carlos include 12 in. thick gunite for all their pools. ***This came in particularly handy for me, when I needed to drain my pool to reduce Cyanuric Acid build up*** -Based on follow-up requests, Im 100% confident that Tim and Carlos will stand behind this pool, whatever the issues may be. They also offer an additional year warranty over what Pentair provides. -Following up on the last pro, they use quality Pentair products and install the wireless control center on all pools. From my research, these Pentair products are superior to those in the current market. -Carlos and his team of contractors were all amazing folks. The people who tied the steel and plumbing were the most spot on organized and professional team of workers Ive ever seen. I knew after watching them, I made a good choice. -Other pool companies charge change fees, every time you make an adjustment. This is a problem, because, not understanding pool construction created many changes in our contract. Im certain this will be the same for anyone getting their first pool. Tim took much of the red tape out of what could have been a frustrating process. -Turn around time. FAST-Out of characters, cant go on. Now for a few Cons -Im sure it was due to a high demand for pools at the time, but I think there could have been better communications and / or expectations set in the beginning. As I stated, Tim does sales and Carlos does the contracting. I personally wish there was more transparency between those roles. -Tim knows his pools and has very definitive opinions regarding what works best. Many times hes correct, and Im glad I took his advice, but it would have been nice to have more choices presented to me up front, regardless if they were good or bad in Tims opinion. -This is probably not possible in the contracting community in Oklahoma, but having a better understanding of when contractors will or wont be here would have alleviated a lot of stress during the construction process. All this aside, I personally believe no other contractor could have done any better with my pool. Summary- I stand behind my 5 star rating and fully believe I received the best price and quality of any contractor here in Oklahoma. If I were to build another pool, I would contract with Oklahoma Waterscapes again.
The owner/salesman gave me quite the sales pitch but things changed as soon as I signed the contract and the project began. I assumed I was going to get somebody who was going to give me options and explain them. Could not have been more wrong. There was no communication and no quality control. Although being told I could call anytime, when I tried to get information the salesman/owner was condescending and gave me the impression that I was bothering him. He had little to no involvement with my project, But was quick to pick up checks. lied to me as well as insinuated that I was a liar. turned what was supposed to be a fun project, into a nightmare. And with a month and a half left I told him he was not welcome on my property. Do yourself a favor and find a contractor that is interested in enhancing the beauty of your backyard and understands a color wheel. because it is clear that Oklahoma Waterscapes is only interested in getting paid. I gave them two stars because my pool is structurally and mechanically sound, but it looks like it belongs in someone else backyard. I would highly recommend that you do not spend this much money with a clearly inexperienced company.
I am truly sorry you are unhappy and feel Oklahoma Waterscapes has not lived up to your expectations. We strive and work hard to give our customers a great experience. I never insinuated you were a liar and I am sorry that is how it looked how to you. We have never had a complaint on communication, and I am sorry we failed you in that aspect. Oklahoma Waterscapes has worked hard for you, and we were under the belief that the items you were unhappy with were replaced. They were replaced by what you personally picked out without hesitation and in a very timely manner with no cost associated to you. Even when you offered to help pay for those it
Very knowledgeable and great communication!
Overall great experience, timeline and quality were both great!
Oklahoma Waterscapes did a fantastic job remodeling our pool area! The professionalism of the entire team was amazing and I couldn't be happier with the results. Even my neighbor is jealous of our pool now because it looks so much nicer than theirs. Truly impressive work guys! I highly recommend to anyone looking to build a new pool or enhance their existing pool.
