How We Got Started

I chose to work in this industry because my passion has always been to improve the lives of those around me. While electrical work can be dangerous, it provides a challenge and I am always up for a challenge. Since I was young, I’ve had an interest in learning how things work and how to fix them. So, electrical work was the perfect fit! I am naturally extremely focused, dedicated to my work, diligently hard working, and passionate about perfecting whatever I am working on. I’ve found that these character qualities are required to provide excellent electrical work. In my years of working in the electrical field, I’ve seen customers grossly over-charged by large electrical companies. I decided then and there that my goal was to create a team of professionals. So, I partnered with Right On Electric to deliver high quality electrical work and excellent customer service at an affordable rate. At We Care, we value every customer and always put People Over Prices.

I have found my forever electrician!!!! Alex is the man. Excellent communication, great prices, and the best customer service I've ever had. I had an electrical fire and he was instrumental in getting everything taken care of on my electric company's side as well. 5 stars is not enough in my opinion. Alex was incredible! Showed up on time, no 4 hour time frame window. We received a quote from Mister Sparky the day before telling us we needed over $6k in work, we got the work we needed completed for 1/10 of that price with Alex! Would highly recommend using him for any electrical work and we will definitely be using him in the future!

Alex installed a new outlet in my house, and discovered that there was a broken ground for my furnace breaker which he fixed free of charge. He also brought my electrical panel up to code for just an extra $40. Alex was quick, professional and knowledgeable. If I need electric work done in the future I’ll call him again.

We're committed to maintaining a network of trusted home service businesses, and those who don't meet our criteria will be rejected or promptly removed from our network.

Criminal Background Check

Who does HomeAdvisor background check?

The owner or principal of each business in HomeAdvisor's network (with the exception of Corporate Accounts) must pass a background check. Unfortunately, we cannot perform a background check on every employee of a business—the background checks are performed only on the owner or principal. As always, we recommend that you conduct your own research on the businesses you hire, including making inquiries directly with the businesses regarding their employee background check policies.

What does the background check cover?

We use a third-party vendor to conduct a criminal records search in the county in which the business owner or principal works. Our third-party vendor uses a national criminal database ("NCD") to screen service professionals. Business owners or principals with felony arrests that carry a pending decision or who are convicted of felonies in the past 7 years ago will not be admitted to the network. Businesses or owners convicted misdemeanors or felonies, or who have dismissed charges or arrests on their records involving rape/incest, sex offenses, or lewd and lascivious behavior at any point in time will not be admitted to our network.

Our background check does not exclude service professionals unless the crime at issue is a felony.

*The comprehensiveness of the NCD varies by state. Please be aware that the reporting in the NCD is particularly limited in the following states: AL, CO, DE, GA, ID, IL, KS, LA, ME, MA, MI, MS, MT, NE, NV, NH, NM, SD, UT, VA, VT, and WY. After initial admission to the HomeAdvisor network, businesses are re-screened if a concern is reported to HomeAdvisor.

Corporate Accounts

Some businesses are employees, franchisees, dealers or independent contractors ("Corporate SP's") of larger national or "Corporate Accounts". When this is the case, we may match you with the Corporate Account or with one of their Corporate businesses. The above screening process does not apply to Corporate Accounts, as HomeAdvisor does not screen Corporate Accounts or Corporate businesses.

Verify Trade License HomeAdvisor checks to see if the business carries the appropriate state-level license. Verify Insurance As a part of our screening process, we encourage professionals to carry general liability insurance. We require coverage for hundreds of services. Verification of State Business Filings For business types that require a Secretary of State filing, we confirm that the business is in good standing in the state in which it is located. Criminal Records Search HomeAdvisor uses 3rd party data sources to conduct a criminal search for any relevant criminal activity associated with the owner/principal of the business. Sex Offender Search We confirm that the owner/principal is not listed on the official state Sex Offender web site in the state in which the owner/principal of the company is located. Bankruptcy Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the history of the principal/owner of the business for bankruptcy filings by or against them. Legal Search for Civil Judgments We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for state level civil legal judgments entered against them. Liens Search We use 3rd party data sources to check the principal/owner of the business for liens placed against them. Identity Verification (SSN) HomeAdvisor verifies the social security number(s) of the owner/principal for identity check purposes. This check applies primarily to smaller business entities. Identity Verification (Reverse Phone Lookup) We conduct a reverse business phone lookup to identify records matching the phone number information provided by the business.
