OH Studio

I recommend not hiring OH studio, but finding a designer credentialed by ASID American Society of Interior Designers. They had some practices that seemed suspicious. I suspect OH studio gets kickbacks from contractors and material sources that they help you choose. The contractors they provided were not properly licensed (one was licensed for carpentry, another for painting a decoration), leaving me to find my own. OH Studio recommended a certain cabinet supplier, claiming to get a significant discount. When I conferred with my contractor, he thought the price unreasonable, and got me the same design from the same provider for 40% less! OH studio's rep, Gigi, tried to argue that I should buy cabinets from that provider through her. I put her on the phone with the contractor and myself so we could work it out. We came to the agreement on the phone that I would buy through the contractor, and she stayed mostly silent. After the call, she then tried to convince us to go through her, and seemed offended that I stayed with the contractor. Her mannerisms gave me the impression that she likely gets some kickback that she would not advertise (I asked earlier on in the process if she does get a commission or fee, and she never directly answered the question). The design looked nice, but included cabinets that would not have fit above the countertop below our ceilings (well I guess they could have if we had only inches between countertop and cabinets). I felt I had to beg and plead for a design that included dimensions, maybe her lack in skill here is why. Thankfully our contractor caught the mistake. The biggest problem I had though was when Gigi invaded our house, uninvited, with no warning, and no contact. My wife was alone with the dogs, and the door unlocked. Without knocking or ringing the doorbell, she opened the door and walked in. But for the grace of a baby gate around the front door, our dogs could have attacked her. This helped round out her extremely unprofessional operation and makes me regret not going with a professional independently licensed or credentialed.

OH Studio is by far the best design company I ve ever worked with! All their trades are neat and clean. They were there whenever I called with a question or concern. Most importantly they gave me the kitchen of my dreams in less time than promised. I m in a new home and plan to use them again. I give OH Studio the highest mark possible and recommend them wholeheartedly!

OH Studios Gigi and Osnat were very responsive to call me back if and when I seen a problem during construction. Knowing that a design team has your back when you cannot be there when a problem arises.

Working with Gigi has been amazing! I can't say enough good things about her talent, professionalism, quality of work, and passion. I love working with her and would never want to work with anyone else on a home project. She's turned everything in our house (except kitchen and master bed/bath) into such a beautiful space and a place we can really be proud of. We never could have imagined our house being so gorgeous, but it's all thanks to her design and hard-working team! She's also very reliable and truly cares about the quality of work. Thanks again for everything and I look forward to our next projects with you guys!

I got what I asked for and more, even my wife was happy.
